¹⁴ For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, ^(A)by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.

God's Judgment and the Law

¹² For all who have sinned ^(A)without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

¹⁹ For what can be ^(A)known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. ²⁰ For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, ^(B)have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,^[a] in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

²⁷ Then he who is physically^[a] uncircumcised but keeps the law ^(A)will condemn you who have ^(B)the written code^[b] and circumcision but break the law.

¹² remember ^(A)that you were at that time separated from Christ, ^(B)alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to ^(C)the covenants of promise, ^(D)having no hope and without God in the world.

^30 (A)The times of ignorance ^(B)God overlooked, but ^(C)now he ^(D)commands all people everywhere to repent,

³⁵ but ^(A)in every nation anyone who fears him and ^(B)does what is right is acceptable to him.

God's Righteousness Upheld

3 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision? ² Much in every way. To begin with, ^(A)the Jews were entrusted with ^(B)the oracles of God.
