¹⁵ Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. ^(A)Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.

¹¹ And ^(A)because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? ¹² But ^(B)when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

^2 (A)fulfill my joy ^(B)by being like-minded, having the same love, being of ^(C)one accord, of one mind. ^3 (D)Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but ^(E)in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. ^4 (F)Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of ^(G)others.

¹³ For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only ^(A)do not use liberty as an ^(B)opportunity for the flesh, but ^(C)through love serve one another.

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God ^(C)for a sweet-smelling aroma.

^4 (A)Love suffers long and is ^(B)kind; love ^(C)does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not ^[a]puffed up; ⁵ does not behave rudely, ^(D)does not seek its own, is not provoked, ^[b]thinks no evil;

Be Sensitive to Conscience

8 Now ^(A)concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have ^(B)knowledge. ^(C)Knowledge ^[a]puffs up, but love ^[b]edifies.

^2 (A)Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to ^[a]edification.

^20 (A)Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. ^(B)All things indeed are pure, ^(C)but it is evil for the man who eats with ^[a]offense.
