Do Not Cause Another to Stumble

^13 (A)Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide ^(B)never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.

³ We ^(A)put no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

^11 (A)Do not speak evil against one another, brothers.^[a] The one who speaks against a brother or ^(B)judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

⁹ But take care ^(A)that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block ^(B)to the weak. ¹⁰ For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating^[a] in an idol's temple, will he not be encouraged,^[b] if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols? ¹¹ And so by your knowledge this weak person is ^(C)destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. ¹² Thus, sinning against your brothers^[c] and ^(D)wounding their conscience when it is weak, ^(E)you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, ^(F)if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.
