⁸ First, ^(A)I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that ^(B)your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

¹⁹ For ^(A)your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be ^(B)wise in what is good, and ^[a]simple concerning evil.

^4 (A)I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,

⁸ For from you the word of the Lord ^(A)has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also ^(B)in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves declare concerning us ^(C)what manner of entry we had to you, ^(D)and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

¹⁷ But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart ^(A)that form of doctrine to which you were ^[a]delivered.

^11 (A)If anyone speaks, let him speak as the ^[a]oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that ^(B)in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the ^[b]dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

¹⁵ Therefore I also, ^(A)after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
