The seventh seal is opened. There is silence in heaven. The four angels blow their trumpets, and great plagues follow upon the earth.

8 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. ² And I saw angels standing before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. ³ And another angel came and stood before the altar having a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, that he should offer of the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that was before the seat.
