3 “Hãy viết cho thiên sứ của hội thánh Sạt-đi như sau:
Đấng có bảy linh thần và bảy ngôi sao phán: Ta biết công việc ngươi. Ngươi có tiếng là sống mà thật ra là chết. 2 Hãy thức dậy! Hãy tỏ ra mạnh bạo trước khi những gì còn sót trong ngươi bị chết mất hoàn toàn. Ta thấy công việc ngươi còn thiếu sót lắm trước mặt Thượng Đế ta. 3 Cho nên đừng quên những gì mình đã nhận và nghe. Hãy vâng theo đó và ăn năn. Ngươi hãy tỉnh giấc, nếu không ta sẽ đến bất ngờ như kẻ trộm, vì ngươi cũng không biết lúc nào ta đến. 4 Nhưng ở Sạt-đi ngươi còn có một số ít người chưa làm dơ áo xống mình cho nên họ sẽ cùng đi với ta và được mặc áo trắng vì họ xứng đáng. 5 Kẻ nào thắng cũng sẽ được mặc áo trắng như họ. Ta sẽ không xóa tên họ khỏi sách sự sống nhưng sẽ nhìn nhận họ là những người của ta trước mặt Cha ta và các thiên sứ. 6 Ai có tai nghe, hãy lắng nghe lời Thánh Linh phán cùng các hội thánh.”

7 “Hãy viết cho thiên sứ của hội thánh Phi-la-đen-phia như sau:
Đây là lời phán của Đấng thánh và chân thật, Đấng cầm chìa khóa của Đa-vít. Hễ Ngài mở cửa thì không ai đóng được và hễ Ngài đóng thì không ai mở được. 8 Ta biết công việc ngươi. Ta đã mở một cửa trước mặt ngươi, không ai có thể đóng được. Ta biết ngươi tuy sức kém nhưng chịu vâng theo lời dạy của ta, không chối bỏ danh ta. 9 Có những kẻ thuộc hội [a] quỉ Sa-tăng tự nhận là người Do-thái nhưng thật ra không phải vì chúng nói dối. Ta sẽ khiến chúng nó đến quì dưới chân ngươi để chúng biết rằng ta yêu ngươi. 10 Ngươi đã vâng theo lời dạy của ta, không chối bỏ đức tin mình cho nên ta sẽ tránh cho ngươi khỏi gặp cảnh khổ sẽ đến trên khắp thế gian. Cảnh khổ ấy là cách ta thử nghiệm mọi người trên thế gian.
11 Ta sắp đến rồi. Hãy giữ vững điều ngươi có để không ai lấy mão triều thiên của ngươi. 12 Kẻ nào thắng ta sẽ cho làm cột trụ của đền thờ [b] Thượng Đế ta, họ sẽ ở đó mãi mãi. Ta sẽ khắc trên họ danh của Thượng Đế ta và tên của thành Thượng Đế, tức Giê-ru-sa-lem [c] mới từ trời xuống. Ta cũng ghi trên họ tên mới của ta. 13 Ai có tai nghe, hãy lắng nghe lời Thánh Linh phán cùng các hội thánh.”

14 “Hãy viết cho thiên sứ của hội thánh Lao-đi-xê như sau:
Đấng A-men [d], là người làm chứng chân thật, nguồn sáng tạo của Thượng Đế, phán như sau: 15 Ta biết công việc ngươi, ngươi không lạnh cũng không nóng. Ta ước gì ngươi hoặc nóng hoặc lạnh thì tốt! 16 Nhưng vì ngươi âm ấm—không nóng cũng không lạnh—cho nên ta sẽ phun ngươi ra khỏi miệng ta. 17 Ngươi nói, ‘Ta giàu có rồi nên ta không cần gì cả.’ Nhưng ngươi không biết mình khốn đốn, đáng thương, nghèo khó, đui mù và trần truồng. 18 Ta khuyên ngươi hãy mua vàng đã thử lửa của ta để ngươi giàu có thật sự. Hãy mua áo trắng của ta để mặc và che giấu sự trần truồng xấu hổ của ngươi. Hãy mua thuốc xức mắt của ta để ngươi thấy cho rõ.
19 Ta sửa trị kẻ ta yêu. Cho nên ngươi hãy hăng hái làm điều phải, hãy ăn năn hối hận đi. 20 Nầy ta đang đứng gõ nơi cửa. Nếu ai nghe tiếng ta và mở cửa thì ta sẽ vào dùng bữa với người ấy và người ấy với ta.
21 Kẻ nào thắng sẽ được ngồi với ta trên ngôi ta, cũng như ta đã thắng và đang ngồi với Cha ta trên ngôi Ngài. 22 Ai có tai nghe, hãy lắng nghe lời Thánh Linh phán cùng các hội thánh.”

To the Church in Sardis
3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him (A)who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
“‘I know your works. You have the reputation (B)of being alive, (C)but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works (D)complete in the sight of my God. 3 (E)Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, (F)I will come (G)like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. 4 Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not (H)soiled their garments, and they will walk with me (I)in white, for they are (J)worthy. 5 (K)The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never (L)blot his name out of (M)the book of life. (N)I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. 6 (O)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
To the Church in Philadelphia
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of (P)the holy one, (Q)the true one, (R)who has the key of David, (S)who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.
8 “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you (T)an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make those of (U)the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, (V)I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that (W)I have loved you. 10 (X)Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try (Y)those who dwell on the earth. 11 (Z)I am coming soon. (AA)Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize (AB)your crown. 12 (AC)The one who conquers, I will make him (AD)a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him (AE)the name of my God, and (AF)the name of the city of my God, (AG)the new Jerusalem, (AH)which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own (AI)new name. 13 (AJ)He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

14 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the (AK)Amen, (AL)the faithful and true witness, (AM)the beginning of God's creation.
15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. (AN)Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 (AO)For you say, “I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing,” not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, (AP)blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you (AQ)to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and (AR)white garments so that you may clothe yourself and (AS)the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, (AT)so that you may see. 19 (AU)Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and (AV)knock. The Dead Church
3 “And to the [a]angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who (A)has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before [b]God. 3 (B)Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and (C)repent. (D)Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you (E)as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 [c]You have (F)a few names [d]even in Sardis who have not (G)defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me (H)in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes (I)shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not (J)blot out his name from the (K)Book of Life; but (L)I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

See, I have set before you (T)an open door, [f]and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make (U)those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed (V)I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept [g]My command to persevere, (W)I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon (X)the whole world, to test those who dwell (Y)on the earth. 11 [h]Behold, (Z)I am coming quickly! (AJ)‘These things says the Amen, (AK)the Faithful and True Witness, (AL)the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 (AM)“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither [k]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, (AN)‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you (AO)to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and (AP)white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 (AQ)As many as I love, I rebuke and (AR)chasten.[l] Therefore be [m]zealous and repent. 20 Behold, (AS)I stand at the door and knock. (AT)If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, (AU)I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes (AV)I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
