⁷και τω αγγελω της εν φιλαδελφεια εκκλησιας γραψον ταδε λεγει ο αγιος ο αληθινος ο εχων την κλειδα του δαβιδ ο ανοιγων και ουδεις κλειει και κλειει και ουδεις ανοιγει

⁸οιδα σου τα εργα ιδου δεδωκα ενωπιον σου θυραν ανεωγμενην και ουδεις δυναται κλεισαι αυτην οτι μικραν εχεις δυναμιν και ετηρησας μου τον λογον και ουκ ηρνησω το ονομα μου

⁹ιδου διδωμι εκ της συναγωγης του σατανα των λεγοντων εαυτους ιουδαιους ειναι και ουκ εισιν αλλα ψευδονται ιδου ποιησω αυτους ινα ηξωσιν και προσκυνησωσιν ενωπιον των ποδων σου και γνωσιν οτι εγω ηγαπησα σε

¹⁰οτι ετηρησας τον λογον της υπομονης μου καγω σε τηρησω εκ της ωρας του πειρασμου της μελλουσης ερχεσθαι επι της οικουμενης ολης πειρασαι τους κατοικουντας επι της γης

¹¹ιδου ερχομαι ταχυ κρατει ο εχεις ινα μηδεις λαβη τον στεφανον σου

¹²ο νικων ποιησω αυτον στυλον εν τω ναω του θεου μου και εξω ου μη εξελθη ετι και γραψω επ αυτον το ονομα του θεου μου και το ονομα της πολεως του θεου μου της καινης ιερουσαλημ η καταβαινει εκ του ουρανου απο του θεου μου και το ονομα μου το καινον

⁷`And to the messenger of the assembly in Philadelphia write: These things saith he who is holy, he who is true, he who is having the key of David, he who is opening and no one doth shut, and he shutteth and no one doth open!

⁸I have known thy works; lo, I have set before thee a door -- opened, and no one is able to shut it, because thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name;

⁹lo, I make of the synagogue of the Adversary those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but do lie; lo, I will make them that they may come and bow before thy feet, and may know that I loved thee.

¹⁰`Because thou didst keep the word of my endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of the trial that is about to come upon all the world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

¹¹Lo, I come quickly, be holding fast that which thou hast, that no one may receive thy crown.

¹²He who is overcoming -- I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and without he may not go any more, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, that doth come down out of the heaven from my God -- also my new name.

¹³He who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies.

^(B)He who is holy, ^(C)who is true, who has ^(D)the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:

⁸‘^(E)I know your ^[a]deeds. Behold, I have put before you ^(F)an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have followed My word, and ^(G)have not denied My name. ⁹Behold, I ^[b]will make those of ^(H)the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them ^(I)come and bow down before your feet, and make them know that ^(J)I have loved you. ¹⁰Because you have ^(K)kept ^(L)My ^[c]word of perseverance, ^(M)I also will keep you from the hour of the ^[d]^(N)testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole ^[e]^(O)world, to ^[f]test ^(P)those who live on the earth. ¹¹^(Q)I am coming quickly; ^(R)hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your ^(S)crown. ¹²^(T)The one who overcomes, I will make him a ^(U)pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the ^(V)name of My God, and ^(W)the name of the city of My God, ^(X)the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My ^(Y)new name. ¹³^(Z)The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia^(A) write:

These are the words of him who is holy^(B) and true,^(C) who holds the key of David.^(D) What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. ⁸I know your deeds.^(E) See, I have placed before you an open door^(F) that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.^(G) ⁹I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan,^(H) who claim to be Jews though they are not,^(I) but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet^(J) and acknowledge that I have loved you.^(K) ¹⁰Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you^(L) from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world^(M) to test^(N) the inhabitants of the earth.^(O)

¹¹I am coming soon.^(P) Hold on to what you have,^(Q) so that no one will take your crown.^(R) ¹²The one who is victorious^(S) I will make a pillar^(T) in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it.
