22 Next the angel showed me the river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 Between the main street and the river was the Tree of Life producing twelve kinds of fruit, a different kind every month; and the leaves of the tree were for healing the nations — 3 no longer will there be any curses. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him; 4 they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 Night will no longer exist, so they will need neither the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because Adonai, God, will shine upon them. And they will reign as kings forever and ever.
6 Then he said to me, “These words are true and trustworthy: Adonai, God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must happen soon.”
7 “Look! I am coming very soon. Blessed is the person who obeys the words of the prophecy written in this book!”
8 Then I, Yochanan, the one hearing and seeing these things, when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am only a fellow-servant with you and your brothers, the prophets and the people who obey the words in this book. Worship God!”
10 Then he said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy in this book,[a] because the time of their fulfillment is near.
11 “Whoever keeps acting wickedly, let him go on acting wickedly;
whoever is filthy, let him go on being made filthy.
“Also, whoever is righteous, let him go on doing what is righteous;
and whoever is holy, let him go on being made holy.”
12 “Pay attention!” [says Yeshua,] “I am coming soon, and my rewards are with me to give to each person according to what he has done. 13 I am the ‘A’ and the ‘Z,’ the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
14 How blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they have the right to eat from the Tree of Life and go through the gates into the city! 15 Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral, murderers, idol-worshippers, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come!’ Let anyone who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let anyone who is thirsty come — let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge.”
18 I warn everyone hearing the words of the prophecy in this book that if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if anyone takes anything away from the words in the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the Tree of Life and the holy city, as described in this book.
20 “The one who is testifying to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon!’”
Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua!

22 Und er zeigte mir einen reinen Strom vom Wasser des Lebens, glänzend wie Kristall, der ausging vom Thron Gottes und des Lammes.
2 In der Mitte zwischen ihrer Straße und dem Strom, von dieser und von jener Seite aus, [war] der Baum des Lebens, der zwölfmal Früchte trägt und jeden Monat seine Frucht gibt, jeweils eine; und die Blätter des Baumes dienen zur Heilung der Völker.
3 Und es wird keinen Fluch mehr geben; und der Thron Gottes und des Lammes wird in ihr sein, und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen[a];
4 und sie werden sein Angesicht sehen, und sein Name wird auf ihren Stirnen sein.
5 Und es wird dort keine Nacht mehr geben, und sie bedürfen nicht eines Leuchters, noch des Lichtes der Sonne, denn Gott, der Herr, erleuchtet sie; und sie werden herrschen von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.
Abschließende Ermahnungen — »Siehe, ich komme bald!«
6 Und er sprach zu mir: Diese Worte sind gewiss und wahrhaftig; und der Herr, der Gott der heiligen Propheten, hat seinen Engel gesandt, um seinen Knechten zu zeigen, was rasch geschehen soll.
7 Siehe, ich komme bald![b] Glückselig, wer die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches bewahrt!
8 Und ich, Johannes, bin es, der diese Dinge gesehen und gehört hat; und als ich es gehört und gesehen hatte, fiel ich nieder, um anzubeten vor den Füßen des Engels, der mir diese Dinge zeigte.
9 Und er sprach zu mir: Sieh dich vor, tue es nicht! Denn ich bin dein Mitknecht und der deiner Brüder, der Propheten, und derer, welche die Worte dieses Buches bewahren. Bete Gott an!
10 Und er sprach zu mir: Versiegle die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches nicht; denn die Zeit ist nahe!
11 Wer Unrecht tut, der tue weiter Unrecht, und wer unrein ist, der verunreinige sich weiter, und der Gerechte übe weiter Gerechtigkeit, und der Heilige heilige sich weiter!
12 Und siehe, ich komme bald und mein Lohn mit mir, um einem jeden so zu vergelten, wie sein Werk sein wird.
13 Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende[c], der Erste und der Letzte.
14 Glückselig sind, die seine Gebote tun, damit sie Anrecht haben an dem Baum des Lebens und durch die Tore in die Stadt eingehen können.
15 Draußen aber sind die Hunde und die Zauberer und die Unzüchtigen und die Mörder und die Götzendiener und jeder, der die Lüge liebt und tut.
16 Ich, Jesus, habe meinen Engel gesandt, um euch diese Dinge für die Gemeinden zu bezeugen. Ich bin die Wurzel und der Spross Davids, der leuchtende Morgenstern.
17 Und der Geist und die Braut sprechen: Komm! Und wer es hört, der spreche: Komm! Und wen da dürstet, der komme; und wer da will, der nehme das Wasser des Lebens umsonst!
18 Fürwahr, ich bezeuge jedem, der die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches hört: Wenn jemand etwas zu diesen Dingen hinzufügt, so wird Gott ihm die Plagen zufügen, von denen in diesem Buch geschrieben steht;
19 und wenn jemand etwas wegnimmt von den Worten des Buches dieser Weissagung, so wird Gott wegnehmen seinen Teil vom Buch des Lebens und von der heiligen Stadt, und von den Dingen, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen.
20 Es spricht, der dies bezeugt: Ja, ich komme bald! Amen. — Ja, komm, Herr Jesus!
21 Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus Christus sei mit euch allen! Amen.

22 Then the angel showed me the river(A) of the water of life,(B) as clear as crystal,(C) flowing(D) from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life,(E) bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.(F) 3 No longer will there be any curse.(G) The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.(H) 4 They will see his face,(I) and his name will be on their foreheads.(J) 5 There will be no more night.(K) They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.(L) And they will reign for ever and ever.(M)
John and the Angel
6 The angel said to me,(N) “These words are trustworthy and true.(O) The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets,(P) sent his angel(Q) to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 “Look, I am coming soon!(R) Blessed(S) is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”(T)
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things.(U) And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet(V) of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll.(W) Worship God!”(X)
10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up(Y) the words of the prophecy of this scroll,(Z) because the time is near.(AA) 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”(AB)
Epilogue: Invitation and Warning
12 “Look, I am coming soon!(AC) My reward is with me,(AD) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.(AE) 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,(AF) the First and the Last,(AG) the Beginning and the End.(AH)
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes,(AI) that they may have the right to the tree of life(AJ) and may go through the gates(AK) into the city.(AL) 15 Outside(AM) are the dogs,(AN) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus,(AO) have sent my angel(AP) to give you[a] this testimony for the churches.(AQ) I am the Root(AR) and the Offspring of David,(AS) and the bright Morning Star.”(AT)
17 The Spirit(AU) and the bride(AV) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.(AW)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:(AX) If anyone adds anything to them,(AY) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.(AZ) 19 And if anyone takes words away(BA) from this scroll of prophecy,(BB) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life(BC) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
20 He who testifies to these things(BD) says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”(BE)
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.(BF)
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.(BG) Amen.
