In this chapter is described the new and spiritual Jerusalem.

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were vanished away; and there was no more sea.  And I, John, saw that holy city, new Jerusalem, come down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride made beautiful for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; neither will there be any more pain. For the former things are gone. And he that sat upon the seat said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write, for these words are faithful and true.

And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him who is a-thirst of the well of the water of life, free. He that overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he will be my child. But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
