20 Apoi am văzut pogorându-se din cer un înger, care(A) ţinea în mână cheia Adâncului şi un lanţ mare. 2 El a pus mâna pe balaur(B), pe şarpele cel vechi, care este Diavolul şi Satana, şi l-a legat pentru o mie de ani. 3 L-a aruncat în Adânc, l-a închis acolo şi a pecetluit(C) intrarea deasupra lui, ca(D) să nu mai înşele neamurile, până se vor împlini cei o mie de ani. După aceea, trebuie să fie dezlegat pentru puţină vreme. 4 Şi am văzut nişte scaune(E) de domnie; şi celor ce au şezut pe ele, li s-a dat judecata(F). Şi am văzut sufletele(G) celor ce li se tăiase capul din pricina mărturiei lui Isus şi din pricina Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu şi ale celor ce(H) nu se închinaseră fiarei şi icoanei ei(I) şi nu primiseră semnul ei pe frunte şi pe mână. Ei au înviat şi au(J) împărăţit cu Hristos o mie de ani. 5 Ceilalţi morţi n-au înviat până nu s-au sfârşit cei o mie de ani. Aceasta este întâia înviere. 6 Fericiţi şi sfinţi sunt cei ce au parte de întâia înviere! Asupra lor a doua moarte(K) n-are nicio putere; ci vor fi preoţi(L) ai lui Dumnezeu şi ai lui Hristos şi(M) vor împărăţi cu El o mie de ani. 7 Când se vor împlini cei o mie de ani, Satana(N) va fi dezlegat 8 şi va ieşi din temniţa lui ca să(O) înşele neamurile, care sunt în cele patru colţuri ale pământului, pe Gog(P) şi pe Magog, ca să-i(Q) adune pentru război. Numărul lor va fi ca nisipul mării. 9 Şi(R) ei s-au suit pe faţa pământului şi au înconjurat tabăra sfinţilor şi cetatea preaiubită. Dar din cer s-a pogorât un foc care i-a mistuit. 10 Şi(S) diavolul, care-i înşela, a fost aruncat în iazul de foc şi de pucioasă, unde(T) sunt fiara şi prorocul mincinos. Şi vor fi munciţi(U) zi şi noapte în vecii vecilor. 11 Apoi am văzut un scaun de domnie mare şi alb şi pe Cel ce şedea pe el. Pământul şi cerul au(V) fugit dinaintea Lui şi(W) nu s-a mai găsit loc pentru ele. 12 Şi am văzut pe morţi, mari(X) şi mici, stând în picioare înaintea scaunului de domnie. Nişte(Y) cărţi au fost deschise. Şi a fost deschisă o altă(Z) carte, care este cartea vieţii. Şi morţii au fost judecaţi după(AA) faptele lor, după cele ce erau scrise în cărţile acelea. 13 Marea a dat înapoi pe morţii care erau în ea; Moartea(AB) şi Locuinţa morţilor au dat înapoi pe morţii care erau în ele. Fiecare a fost judecat după(AC) faptele lui. 14 Şi Moartea(AD) şi Locuinţa morţilor au fost aruncate în iazul de foc. Iazul(AE) de foc este moartea a doua. 15 Oricine n-a fost găsit scris în cartea vieţii a fost aruncat(AF) în iazul de foc.

The Thousand Years
20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven,(A) having the key(B) to the Abyss(C) and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan,(D) and bound him for a thousand years.(E) 3 He threw him into the Abyss,(F) and locked and sealed(G) it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations(H) anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
4 I saw thrones(I) on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge.(J) And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded(K) because of their testimony about Jesus(L) and because of the word of God.(M) They[a] had not worshiped the beast(N) or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands.(O) They came to life and reigned(P) with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.(Q) 6 Blessed(R) and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death(S) has no power over them, but they will be priests(T) of God and of Christ and will reign with him(U) for a thousand years.
The Judgment of Satan
7 When the thousand years are over,(V) Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations(W) in the four corners of the earth(X)—Gog and Magog(Y)—and to gather them for battle.(Z) In number they are like the sand on the seashore.(AA) 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded(AB) the camp of God’s people, the city he loves.(AC) But fire came down from heaven(AD) and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them,(AE) was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,(AF) where the beast(AG) and the false prophet(AH) had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.(AI)
The Judgment of the Dead
11 Then I saw a great white throne(AJ) and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence,(AK) and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small,(AL) standing before the throne, and books were opened.(AM) Another book was opened, which is the book of life.(AN) The dead were judged(AO) according to what they had done(AP) as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades(AQ) gave up the dead(AR) that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.(AS) 14 Then death(AT) and Hades(AU) were thrown into the lake of fire.(AV) The lake of fire is the second death.(AW) 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life(AX) was thrown into the lake of fire.
