¹⁹ And the great city^[a] came-to-be in three parts. And the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered^[b] in the presence of God— to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath.

One of The Seven Angels Takes John To See The Judgment of Babylon The Great

17 And one of the seven angels having the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute sitting on many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth committed-sexual-immorality, and the ones dwelling-in the earth^[a] got-drunk from the wine of her sexual-immorality”.

Heaven Rejoices Over God’s Judgment

19 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven^[a] of ones saying “Hallelujah— the salvation and the glory and the power of ^[b] our God! ² Because His judgments are true and righteous. Because He judged the great prostitute who corrupted^[c] the earth with her sexual-immorality, and He avenged the blood of His slaves from her hand”. ³ And a second time they have said, “Hallelujah! And her smoke goes up forever and ever”.
