⁷ He said in a loud voice, “Fear God^(A) and give him glory,^(B) because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made^(C) the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”^(D)

¹³ At that very hour there was a severe earthquake^(A) and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory^(B) to the God of heaven.^(C)

²³ For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship^(A)—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

²⁴ “The God who made the world and everything in it^(B) is the Lord of heaven and earth^(C) and does not live in temples built by human hands.^{(D) 25} And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.^(E)
