Revelation 1
Worldwide English (New Testament)
1 God showed these things to Jesus Christ to show to his servants. These are things that must happen soon. Then God sent his angel and showed them to John, his servant.
2 John wrote down what God said and what Jesus showed to him. These words tell all that He saw.
3 God will bless the person who reads the words of this book. God will bless those who hear the words of this book and obey the things written in it.
4 Here is what John wrote to the people of the seven churches which are in the country of Asia Minor: May God's loving kindness bless you and give you peace. He lives now, he always has lived, and he will come again. May the seven Spirits bless you and give you peace. They stand in front of God's throne [chief chair of a king].
5 May Jesus Christ bless you and give you peace. What he says is true. He was the first to rise from death. And he is ruler of the kings of the earth. He loves us. By his own blood [death] he has made us free from the wrong things we have done.
6 He has made us into kings and priests to his God and Father. Praise him! He is great and has power for ever! Yes, it is so!
7 Watch! He will come in the clouds. Every one will see him. Those who stuck a spear in him will also see him. All the tribes on earth will cry when they see him. That is the way it will be. Yes it will!
8 The Lord God says, `I am the First and the Last. I am the beginning and the ending. I live now. I always have lived, and I will come again. I have all power.'
9 I am John, your brother. I belong to Jesus and I am having big trouble just as you are. I also belong to his kingdom and I wait patiently for it. I was on an island called Patmos because I told the word of God and talked about Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. Behind me I heard a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet or horn.
11 The voice said, `Write what you see in a book. Send it to the seven churches in the cities of Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.'
12 I turned to see who was talking to me. I saw seven gold lamps.
13 In the centre of the seven lamps I saw someone like the Son of Man. He was wearing a long gown with a wide, gold belt around his chest.
14 The hair on his head was white like sheep's hair, white as snow. His eyes shone like a flame of fire.
15 His feet shone like fine brass that has been made pure by fire. His voice was like the sound of much water flowing.
16 In his right hand he had seven stars. Out of his mouth came a long knife or sword, sharp on both sides. His face shone like the sun when it is shining very brightly.
17 When I saw him, I fell down in front of him as if I had died. He put his right hand on me and said, `Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
18 I am he who lives. I died. But look, I am alive for ever. I have the keys to death and to the world of the dead.
19 So write what you have seen. Write the things that are now and the things that will happen after them.
20 You saw seven stars in my right hand. I will tell you the secret meaning of them and of the seven gold lamps. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. The seven lamps are the seven churches.

ଯୋହନଙ୍କର ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକ ବିଷୟରେ କହନ୍ତି
1 ଏହା ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ବାକ୍ୟ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଶୀଘ୍ର ଘଟିବ, ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସେବକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଏସବୁ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଦୂତଙ୍କୁ ଏସବୁ ଦେଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ। 2 ଯୋହନ ଯାହାସବୁ ଦେଖିଲେ, ତାହାର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସେ ଦେଲେ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଏହି ସତ୍ୟ ବାକ୍ୟ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯୋହନଙ୍କୁ କୁହାଗଲା। 3 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ପଢ଼ନ୍ତି, ଓ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହି ଭାବବାଣୀକୁ ଶୁଣନ୍ତି ଓ ଏଥିରେ ଲେଖାଥିବା ବିଷୟ ଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ପାଳନ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଧନ୍ୟ। କାରଣ ସମୟ ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ।
ଯୋହନ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ମଣ୍ଡଳୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲେଖନ୍ତି
4 ଏସିଆ ପ୍ରଦେଶର ସାତୋଟି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ମୁଁ, ଯୋହନ, ଏହା ଲେଖୁଅଛି:
ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଅତୀତରେ ଥିଲେ, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ଆସୁଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଥିବା ସପ୍ତ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଓ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଉ। 5 ଯୀଶୁ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ସାକ୍ଷୀ। ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ବଞ୍ଚି ଉଠିଥିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଓ ସେ ଏହି ଜଗତର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା।
ସେହି ଯୀଶୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି। ସେହି ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ଦେଇ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି। 6 ଯୀଶୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପିତା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ସେବାରେ ଯାଜକ ରୂପେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ତାହାଙ୍କର ଗୌରବ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମ ଯୁଗେ ଯୁଗେ ହେଉ। ଆମେନ୍।
7 ଦେଖ, ଯୀଶୁ ମେଘମାଳାରେ ଆସୁଅଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବ ଏପରିକି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଦ୍ଧ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବେ। ଏ ପୃଥିବୀର ସବୁ ଜାତିର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଗମନରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ରୋଦନ କରିବେ। ହଁ, ଏହା ଘଟିବ। ଆମେନ୍।
8 ପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ “ଆରମ୍ଭ ଓ ଶେଷ” (‘‘ଆଲ୍ଫା” ଓ “ଓମେଗା”) ମୁଁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଅଛି, ଅତୀତରେ ଥିଲି ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ରହିଥିବି। ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ।”
9 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖ ଭୋଗ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଓ ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସହଭାଗୀ ଭାଇ ମୁଁ ଯୋହନ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଗ୍ଭର ଓ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହେବା ହେତୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହୋଇ ପାତ୍ମ ଦ୍ୱୀପରେ ଥିଲି କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଗ୍ଭର କଲି। ମୁଁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଲି। 10 ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦିନରେ ପବିତ୍ରଆତ୍ମା ମୋତେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ଅଧିକାର କରି ନେଲେ। ମୁଁ ହଠାତ୍ ପଛପଟୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣିଲି। ଏହି ଶବ୍ଦ ତୂରୀନାଦ ପରି ଥିଲା। 11 ସେହି ସ୍ୱର ମୋତେ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ଦେଖୁଛ, ସବୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖ ଓ ତାହାକୁ ସାତୋଟି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଏଫିସ, ସ୍ମୁର୍ଣ୍ଣା, ପର୍ଗମ, ଥୁୟତୀରା ସାର୍ଦ୍ଦୀ, ଫିଲାଦେଲ୍ଫିଆ ଓ ଲାଅଦିକୀଆକୁ ପଠାଅ।’’
12 ମୁଁ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହିଁଲି ଯେ, କିଏ ମୋତେ ଏହିକଥା କହୁଛନ୍ତି। ମୁଁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ିଲି, ସେତେବେଳେ ସାତୋଟି ସୁନାର ଦୀପରୂଖା ଦେଖିଲି। 13 ସେହି ସାତୋଟି ସୁନାର ଦୀପରୂଖା ମଝିରେ: “ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ପରି” ଜଣେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଲମ୍ବା ପୋଷାକ ପିନ୍ଧିଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାତିରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସୁନାର ପଟୁକା ପିନ୍ଧିଥିଲେ। 14 ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଓ ବାଳ ଶୁଭ୍ର ପଶମ ଓ ହିମ ପରି ଶୁଭ୍ର ଥିଲା। ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଖି ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ପରି ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିଲା। 15 ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦ ଯେପରି, ପିତ୍ତଳ ନିଆଁ ଭାଟିରେ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ସେହିପରି ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିଲା। ତାହାଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର ବନ୍ୟାଜଳର ଗର୍ଜନ ଭଳି ଥିଲା। 16 ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଡାହାଣ ହାତରେ ସାତୋଟି ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ଧରିଥିଲେ। ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଭିତରୁ ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ ଦୁଇଧାର ଯୁକ୍ତ ଖଡ଼୍ଗ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲା। ସେ ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟଭଳି ତେଜୋମୟ ଦେଖାଯାଉଥିଲେ।
17 ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଦତଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ମୃତ ମଣିଷ ପରି ପଡ଼ିଗଲି। ମୋ’ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଡାହାଣ ହାତ ରଖି ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଥମ ଓ ଶେଷ।” 18 ମୁଁ ଜୀବିତ। ମୁଁ ମରି ଯାଇଥିଲି କିନ୍ତୁ ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ସବୁବେଳ ପାଇଁ ଜୀବିତ ହୋଇଅଛି। ମୋ’ ପାଖରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଓ ପାତାଳର[a] ଗ୍ଭବି ରହିଛି। 19 ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖିଥିବା କଥା ଲେଖ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯାହା ଘଟୁଛି ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ଯାହା ଘଟିବ, ସେ ସବୁ ଲେଖ। 20 ମୋର ଡାହାଣ ହାତରେ ଯେଉଁ ସାତୋଟି ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ଦେଖିଲ, ତାହାର ଓ ସାତୋଟି ସୁନାର ଦୀପରୂଖାର ନିଗୂଢ଼ ଅର୍ଥ ଏହିପରି ଅଟେ: ସାତ ଦୀପରୂଖା ହେଉଛି ସାତୋଟି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ। ସାତ ନକ୍ଷତ୍ର ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ସାତୋଟି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଦୂତ।”

Introduction and Benediction
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, (A)which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must [a]shortly take place. And (B)He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 (C)who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things (D)that he saw. 3 (E)Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for (F)the time is near.
Greeting the Seven Churches
4 John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him (G)who is and (H)who was and who is to come, (I)and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, (J)the faithful (K)witness, the (L)firstborn from the dead, and (M)the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him (N)who [b]loved us (O)and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has (P)made us [c]kings and priests to His God and Father, (Q)to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, He is coming with (R)clouds, and every eye will see Him, even (S)they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
8 (T)“I am the Alpha and the Omega, [d]the Beginning and the End,” says the [e]Lord, (U)“who is and who was and who is to come, the (V)Almighty.”
Vision of the Son of Man
9 I, John, [f]both your brother and (W)companion in the tribulation and (X)kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 (Y)I was in the Spirit on (Z)the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me (AA)a loud voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, [g]“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches [h]which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned (AB)I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 (AC)and in the midst of the seven lampstands (AD)One like the Son of Man, (AE)clothed with a garment down to the feet and (AF)girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and (AG)hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and (AH)His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 (AI)His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and (AJ)His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 (AK)He had in His right hand seven stars, (AL)out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, (AM)and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And (AN)when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.
