    persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.^(E)

“Worthy is the Lamb,^(A) who was slain,^(B)
    to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
    and honor and glory and praise!”^(C)

⁷ He was oppressed^(A) and afflicted,
    yet he did not open his mouth;^(B)
he was led like a lamb^(C) to the slaughter,^(D)
    and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
    so he did not open his mouth.
