Revelation 21:4-8

⁴^(A) He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.

⁵Then the one sitting on the throne said:

I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. ⁶^(B) Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega,^[a] the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty. ⁷^(C) All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

⁸But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death.^[b]

Revelation 21:4-8

New International Version

⁴‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.^(A) There will be no more death’^[a]^(B) or mourning or crying or pain,^(C) for the old order of things has passed away.”^(D)

⁵He who was seated on the throne^(E) said, “I am making everything new!”^(F) Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”^(G)

⁶He said to me: “It is done.^(H) I am the Alpha and the Omega,^(I) the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost^(J) from the spring of the water of life.^(K) ⁷Those who are victorious^(L) will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.^(M) ⁸But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars^(N)—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur.^(O) This is the second death.”^(P)
