3 and did wash yourself. And you have patience, and for my name’s sake have laboured, and have not fainted.
4 Nevertheless, I have something against you. For you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence you are fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you shortly and will remove your candlestick out of its place – unless you repent.

3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name,(A) and have not grown weary.
4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.(B) 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent(C) and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand(D) from its place.
