The Beast From the Sea
13 Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads. There was a crown on each of its horns. It had an evil name written on each head. 2 This beast looked like a leopard, with feet like a bear’s feet. It had a mouth like a lion’s mouth. The dragon gave the beast all of its power and its throne and great authority.
3 One of the heads of the beast looked as if it had been wounded and killed, but the death wound was healed. All the people in the world were amazed, and they all followed the beast. 4 People worshiped the dragon because it had given its power to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast. They asked, “Who is as powerful as the beast? Who can make war against it?”
5 The beast was allowed to boast and speak insults against God. It was allowed to use its power for 42 months. 6 The beast opened its mouth to insult God—to insult his name, the place where he lives, and all those who live in heaven. 7 It was given power to make war against God’s holy people and to defeat them. It was given power over every tribe, race of people, language, and nation. 8 Everyone living on earth would worship the beast. These are all the people since the beginning of the world whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The Lamb is the one who was killed.
9 Anyone who hears these things should listen to this:
10 Whoever is to be a prisoner,
will be a prisoner.
Whoever is to be killed with a sword,
will be killed with a sword.
This means that God’s holy people must have patience and faith.
The Beast From the Earth
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he talked like a dragon. 12 This beast stood before the first beast and used the same power the first beast had. He used this power to make everyone living on the earth worship the first beast. The first beast was the one that had the death wound that was healed. 13 The second beast did great miracles.[a] He even made fire come down from heaven to earth while people were watching.
14 This second beast fooled the people living on earth by using the miracles that he had been given the power to do for the first beast. He ordered people to make an idol to honor the first beast, the one that was wounded by the sword but did not die. 15 The second beast was given power to give life to the idol of the first beast. Then the idol could speak and order all those who did not worship it to be killed. 16 The second beast also forced all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to have a mark put on their right hand or on their forehead. 17 No one could buy or sell without this mark. (This mark is the name of the beast or the number of its name.)
18 Anyone who has understanding can find the meaning of the beast’s number. This requires wisdom. This number is the number of a man. It is 666.

13 وَوَقَفَ التِّنِّينُ عَلَى شَاطِئِ البَحْرِ. ثُمَّ رَأيْتُ وَحشًا يَصْعَدُ مِنَ البَحْرِ. لَهُ عَشْرَةُ قُرُونٍ وَسَبعَةُ رُؤُوسٍ، وَعَلَى قُرُونِهِ عَشرَةُ تِيجَانٍ، وَأسْمَاءٌ شِرِّيرَةٌ عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِ. 2 الوَحشُ الَّذِي رَأيْتُهُ كَانَ يُشْبِهُ النَّمِرَ. أقْدَامُهُ كَأقْدَامِ الدُّبِّ، وَفَمُهُ كَفَمِ الأسَدِ. التِّنِّينُ مَنَحَهُ قُوَّتَهُ وَعَرشَهُ وَسُلطَانَهُ العَظِيمَ.
3 وَبَدَا أحَدُ رُؤُوسِهِ كَأنَّهُ قَدْ جُرِحَ جُرحًا مُمِيتًا، لَكِنَّ جُرحَهُ كَانَ قَدْ شُفِيَ. العَالَمُ كُلُّهُ كَانَ مَذْهُولًا بِهَذَا الوَحشِ، 4 فَسَجَدُوا لِلتِّنِّينِ لِأنَّهُ مَنَحَ سُلطَانَهُ لِلوَحشِ، كَمَا سَجَدُوا لِلوَحشِ وَقَالُوا: «مَنْ يُشْبِهُ الوَحشَ، وَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ يُقَاتِلَهُ؟»
5 وَكَانَ قَدْ سُمِحَ لِلوَحشِ بِأنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِكَلَامٍ مُتَغَطرِسٍ وَإهَانَاتٍ ضِدَّ اللهِ. وَكَانَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ سُلطَانًا لِأنْ يَسْتَعْمِلَ قُوَّتَهُ لَاثْنَيْنِ وَأرْبَعِينَ شَهرًا. 6 فَبَدَأ يَتَلَفَّظُ بِإهَانَاتٍ، مُهِينًا اسْمَ اللهِ وَمَسكَنَهُ وَالَّذِينَ يَسْكُنُونَ فِي السَّمَاءِ. 7 كَمَا أُعْطِيَ سُلطَانًا أنْ يُقَاتِلَ المُؤمِنِينَ المُقَدَّسِينَ وَيَهْزِمَهُمْ، وَسُلطَانًا عَلَى كُلِّ عَشِيرَةٍ وَشَعْبٍ وَلُغَةٍ وَأُمَّةٍ. 8 وَهَكَذَا سَيَعْبُدُهُ جَمِيعُ سُكَّانِ الأرْضِ، كُلُّ الَّذِينَ عَاشُوا مُنْذُ بِدَايَةِ العَالَمِ وَلَمْ تُكْتَبْ أسمَاؤهُمْ فِي كِتَابِ حَيَاةِ الحَمَلِ الَّذِي ذُبِحَ. 9 مَنْ لَهُ أُذُنٌ فَليَسْمَعْ:
10 «مَنْ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يُسبَى،
فَإلَى السَّبيِ يَذْهَبُ.
وَمَنْ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يُقتَلَ بِالسَّيفِ،
فَبِالسَّيفِ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يُقتَلَ.»
هُنَا يُطلَبُ الصَّبرُ وَالإيمَانُ مِنَ المُؤمِنِينَ المُقَدَّسِينَ.
11 ثُمَّ رَأيْتُ وَحشًا آخَرَ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الأرْضِ. كَانَ لَدَيهِ قَرنَانِ كَقَرنَيِّ الحَمَلِ، لَكِنَّهُ تَكَلَّمَ مِثْلَ تِنِّينٍ. 12 وَقَدْ مَارَسَ كُلَّ سُلطَانِ الوَحشِ الأوَّلِ بِوُجُودِ التَّنِّينِ، فَجَعَلَ الأرْضَ وَمَنْ عَاشَ عَلَيْهَا يَعْبُدُونَ الوَحشَ الأوَّلَ الَّذِي شُفِيَ جُرحُهُ المُمِيتُ.
13 وَصَنَعَ الوَحشُ الثَّانِي مُعجِزَاتٍ كَثِيرَةً، حَتَّى إنَّهُ أنزَلَ نَارًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إلَى الأرْضِ أمَامَ عُيُونِ النَّاسِ. 14 وَبَدَأ يُضَلِّلُ الَّذِينَ يَعِيشُونَ عَلَى الأرْضِ، بِسَبَبِ العَجَائِبِ الَّتِي سُمِحَ لَهُ بِأنْ يَعْمَلَهَا أمَامَ الوَحشِ الأوَّلِ، آمِرًا سُكَّانَ الأرْضِ بِأنْ يَصْنَعُوا تِمثَالًا لِتَكْرِيمِ الوَحشِ الأوَّلِ الَّذِي جَرَحَهُ السَّيفُ لَكِنَّهُ عَاشَ! 15 وَقدْ أُعْطِيَ الوَحشُ الثَّانِي القُدرَةَ لِأنْ يَمْنَحَ الحَيَاةَ لِتِمثَالِ الوَحشِ الأوَّلِ، حَتَّى إنَّ التِمثَالَ يَنْطِقُ، وَيَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ يَجْعَلَ جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْبُدُونَ التِّمثَالَ يُقتَلُونَ. 16 وَأنْ يَأْمُرَ جَمِيعَ النَّاسِ صِغَارًا وَكِبَارًا، أغنِيَاءَ وَفُقَرَاءَ، أحرَارًا وَعَبِيدًا بِأنْ يَقْبَلُوا عَلَامَةً عَلَى أيدِيهِمُ اليُمْنَى أوْ عَلَى جِبَاهِهِمْ، 17 فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أحَدٌ أنْ يَشْتَرِيَ أوْ يَبِيعَ إنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَدَيهِ تِلْكَ العَلَامَةُ، الَّتِي هِيَ اسْمُ الوَحْشِ، أوِ الرَّقْمُ الَّذِي يُوافِقُ اسْمَهُ.
18 هُنَا الحَاجَةُ إلَى الحِكْمَةِ: مَنْ لَدَيهِ الذَّكَاءُ فَلْيَحْسِبْ رَقْمَ الوَحشِ، لِأنَّ الرَّقْمَ يُمَثِّلُ اسْمَ إنْسَانٍ. وَرَقْمُهُ هُوَ سِتُّ مِئَةٍ وَسِتَّةٌ وَسِتُّونَ!

13 Затем я увидел зверя с десятью рогами и семью головами, выходящего из моря. На его рогах было десять венцов, а на его головах были написаны кощунственные имена. 2 Зверь, которого я увидел, был подобен леопарду, его лапы были как у медведя, а пасть подобна львиной. Дракон отдал ему свою силу, свой престол и великую власть.
3 Одна из голов зверя выглядела так, будто на ней была смертельная рана, но эта смертельная рана залечилась. Весь мир был поражён и последовал за зверем, 4 и люди стали поклоняться дракону, потому что он отдал свою власть зверю. Они поклонялись также и зверю и говорили: «Кто сравнится могуществом со зверем и кто может воевать с ним?»
5 И даны были зверю уста, чтобы произносить горделивые и оскорбительные речи. Ему была дана власть делать это в течение сорока двух месяцев. 6 Тогда он стал поносить и оскорблять имя Бога, Его обиталище и живущих на небе. 7 Ему было позволено воевать с людьми Божьими и побеждать их; ему также была дана власть над всеми племенами, народами, языками и наречиями. 8 Все, обитающие на земле, будут поклоняться зверю—все те, чьи имена не записаны в книге жизни у Агнца, закланного от сотворения мира.
9 Кто слышит это, должен услышать вот что:
10 «Кто должен быть пленён, будет пленён.
Кто убьёт мечом, будет сам убит мечом».
Вот когда людям Божьим нужны долготерпение и вера.
Зверь, выходящий из земли
11 И тогда я увидел другого зверя, выходящего из земли. У него было два рога как у ягнёнка, но говорил он словно дракон. 12 И в присутствии первого зверя он показывает такую же власть, что и первый, и заставляет всех живущих на земле поклоняться первому зверю, чья смертельная рана залечилась. 13 Он свершает великие чудеса, так что даже огонь спускается с небес на землю на глазах у людей. 14 Он обольщает живущих на земле, свершая чудеса в присутствии первого зверя. И велит он живущим на земле сделать изображение[a] первого зверя, который был ранен мечом, но не умер. 15 Ему было позволено вдохнуть жизнь в изображение первого зверя, чтобы это изображение могло не только говорить, но и приказать убить всех, кто не будет поклоняться ему. 16 Он принудил всех людей: малых и великих, богатых и бедных, свободных и рабов, чтобы они дали отметить себя клеймом на правой руке или на лбу. 17 Никто не мог ни продавать, ни покупать ничего у того, у кого не было такого клейма, а это клеймо было именем зверя или числом, означавшем его имя. 18 Это требует мудрости. Каждый, у кого есть разум, может понять значение числа зверя, потому что оно соответствует человеческому числу. Это число—шестьсот шестьдесят шесть.

13 ¶ Y yo me paré sobre la arena del mar, y vi una bestia subir del mar, que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos; y sobre sus cuernos diez diademas; y sobre las cabezas de ella nombre de blasfemia.
2 Y la bestia que vi, era semejante a un leopardo, y sus pies como pies de oso, y su boca como boca de león. Y el dragón le dio su poder, y su trono, y gran potestad.
3 Y vi una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, y la llaga de su muerte fue curada; y toda la tierra maravillada, siguió a la bestia.
4 Y adoraron al dragón que había dado la potestad a la bestia, y adoraron a la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante a la bestia, y quién podrá lidiar con él?
5 Y le fue dada boca que hablaba grandes cosas y blasfemias; y le fue dada potencia de obrar cuarenta y dos meses.
6 Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar su Nombre, y su Tabernáculo, y los que moran en el cielo.
7 Y le fue dado hacer guerra contra los santos, y vencerlos. También le fue dada potencia sobre toda tribu y pueblo y lengua y gente.
8 Y todos los que moran en la tierra le adoraron, cuyos nombres no están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero, el cual fue muerto desde el principio del mundo.
9 Si alguno tiene oído, oiga.
10 El que lleva en cautividad, va en cautividad; el que a espada matare, es necesario que a espada sea muerto. Aquí está la paciencia y la fe de los santos.
11 ¶ Después vi otra bestia que subía de la tierra; y tenía dos cuernos semejantes a los del Cordero, mas hablaba como el dragón.
12 Y ejerce todo el poder de la primera bestia en presencia de él; y hace a la tierra y a los moradores de ella adorar la primera bestia, cuya llaga de muerte fue curada.
13 Y hace grandes señales, de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo a la tierra delante de los hombres.
14 Y engaña a los moradores de la tierra por las señales que le ha sido dado hacer en presencia de la bestia, mandando a los moradores de la tierra que hagan una imagen de la bestia que tiene la herida de espada, y vivió.
15 Y le fue dado que diera espíritu a la imagen de la bestia, para que la imagen de la bestia hable; y hará que los que no adoren la imagen de la bestia sean muertos.
16 Y hacía a todos, a los pequeños y grandes, ricos y pobres, libres y esclavos, tomar la marca en su mano derecha, o en sus frentes;
17 y que ninguno pueda comprar o vender, sino el que tiene la marca, o el nombre de la bestia, o el número de su nombre.
18 Aquí hay sabiduría. El que tiene entendimiento, cuente el número de la bestia; porque el número es de hombre, y el número de él es seiscientos sesenta y seis.
