The Woman Giving Birth and the Dragon
12 And then a great wonder appeared in heaven: There was a woman who was clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet. She had a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out with pain because she was about to give birth.
3 Then another wonder appeared in heaven: There was a giant red dragon there. The dragon had seven heads with a crown on each head. It also had ten horns. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and threw them down to the earth. It stood in front of the woman who was ready to give birth to the baby. It wanted to eat the woman’s baby as soon as it was born.
5 The woman gave birth to a son, who would rule all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was taken up to God and to his throne. 6 The woman ran away into the desert to a place that God had prepared for her. There she would be taken care of for 1260 days.
7 Then there was a war in heaven. Michael[a] and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, 8 but they were not strong enough. The dragon and its angels lost their place in heaven. 9 It was thrown down out of heaven. (This giant dragon is that old snake, the one called the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world into the wrong way.) The dragon and its angels were thrown to the earth.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say, “The victory and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Messiah have now come. These things have come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown out. He is the one who accused them day and night before our God. 11 They defeated him by the blood sacrifice of the Lamb and by the message of God that they told people. They did not love their lives too much. They were not afraid of death. 12 So rejoice, you heavens and all who live there! But it will be terrible for the earth and sea, because the devil has gone down to you. He is filled with anger. He knows he doesn’t have much time.”
13 The dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth. So he chased the woman who had given birth to the child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of a great eagle. Then she could fly to the place that was prepared for her in the desert. There she would be taken care of for three and a half years. There she would be away from the dragon.[b] 15 Then the dragon poured water out of its mouth like a river. It poured the water toward the woman so that the flood would carry her away. 16 But the earth helped the woman. The earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that came from the mouth of the dragon. 17 Then the dragon was very angry with the woman. It went away to make war against all her other children. Her children are those who obey God’s commands and have the truth that Jesus taught.
18 The dragon stood on the seashore.

المَرْأةُ وَالحَيَّةُ العَظِيمَة
12 وَظَهَرَتْ عَلَامَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ: امْرأةٌ تَلْبَسُ الشَّمْسَ، وَالقَمَرُ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيهَا، وَفَوقَ رَأسِهَا تَاجٌ بَاثْنَي عَشرَ نَجمًا. 2 كَانَتْ حُبلَى، وَصَرَخَتْ بَسَبَبِ آلَامِ المَخَاضِ، لِأنَّهَا كَانَتْ عَلَى وَشْكِ الوِلَادَةِ.
3 ثُمَّ ظَهَرَتْ عَلَامَةٌ أُخْرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ: تِنِّينٌ ضَخمٌ أحمَرُ كَالنَّارِ، لَهُ سَبعَةُ رُؤُوسٍ وَعَشْرَةُ قُرُونٍ، وَعَلَى رُؤُوسِهِ سَبعَةُ تِيجَانٍ. 4 سَحَبَ ذَيلُهُ ثُلْثَ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ، وَرَمَى بِهَا إلَى الأرْضِ! وَقَفَ التِّنِّينُ أمَامَ المَرْأةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عَلَى وَشَكِ الوِلَادَةِ، عَلَّهُ يَتَمَكَّنُ مِنَ التِهَامِ الوَلِيدِ حَالَ وِلَادَتِهِ.
5 ثُمَّ وَلَدَتِ المَرْأةُ ابنًا، صَبِيًّا كَانَ يَنْبَغِي أنْ يَحْكُمَ كُلَّ الأُمَمِ بِعَصًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ. لَكِنَّ طِفلَهَا اختُطِفَ إلَى حَيْثُ اللهُ وَعَرشُهُ، 6 وَهَرَبَتِ المَرْأةُ إلَى مَكَانٍ أعَدَّهُ اللهُ لَهَا فِي البَرِّيَّةِ، حَيْثُ سَيُعتَنَى بِهَا لِمُدَّةِ ألفٍ وَمِئَتَيْنِ وَسِتِّينَ يَومًا.
7 ثُمَّ اندَلَعَتْ حَربٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ. وَحَارَبَ مِيخَائِيلُ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ التّنِّينَ، وَحَارَبَهُمُ التِّنِّينُ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ. 8 لَكِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَدَى التِّنِّينِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ قُوَّةٌ كَافِيَةٌ، فَخَسِرُوا مَكَانَهُمْ فِي السَّمَاءِ. 9 وَأُلقِيَ التِّنِّينُ الضَّخمُ إلَى الأسفَلِ، وَهُوَ تِلْكَ الحَيَّةُ القَدِيمَةُ الَّتِي تُدعَى إبْلِيسَ أوِ الشَّيطَانَ، وَالَّتِي تُضَلِّلُ كُلَّ سَاكِنِي الأرْضِ. سَقَطَ هُوَ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ مَعَهُ.
10 ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا عَالِيًا فِي السَّمَاءِ يَقُولُ: «هَذِهِ هِيَ لَحظَةُ انتِصَارِ إلَهِنَا وَقُوَّتِهِ وَمُلكِهِ، وَهَا مَسِيحُهُ قَدْ أظْهَرَ سَلطَانَهُ! لِأنَّ الَّذِي اتَّهَمَ إخْوَتَنَا قَدْ سَقَطَ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَانَ يَتَّهِمُهُمْ أمَامَ إلَهِنَا لَيلَ نَهَارَ. 11 لَكِنَّهُمْ هَزَمُوهُ بِدَمِ الحَمَلِ، وَبِالشَّهَادَةِ الَّتِي قَدَّمُوهَا، إذِ لَمْ يَهْتَمُّوا بِحَيَاتِهِمْ حَتَّى إلَى المَوْتِ. 12 لِذَا افرَحِي أيَّتُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ، وَأنْتُمُ الَّذِينَ تَعِيشُونَ فِيهَا. لَكِنْ يَا لَهَولِ مَا سَيَحْدُثُ لِلأرْضِ وَلِلبَحرِ، لِأنَّ الشَّيطَانَ قَدْ نَزَلَ إلَيكُمْ! إنَّهُ مَملُوءٌ بِالغَضَبِ، فَهوَ يَعْلَمُ أنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ لَهُ إلَّا وَقْتٌ قَلِيلٌ.»
13 وَعِنْدَمَا رَأى التِّنِّينُ[a] أنَّهُ طُرِحَ إلَى الأرْضِ، بَدَأ بِاضطِهَادِ المَرْأةِ الَّتِي وَلَدَتِ الطِّفْلَ الذَّكَرَ. 14 لَكِنَّ المَرْأةَ كَانَتْ قَدْ مُنِحَتْ جَنَاحَي نَسرٍ عَظِيمٍ، حَتَّى تُحَلِّقَ بَعِيدًا إلَى البَرِّيَّةِ، إلَى المَكَانِ المُعَدِّ لَهَا، حَيْثُ سَتُعَالُ لِمُدَّةِ ثَلَاثِ سَنَوَاتٍ وَنِصفٍ بَعِيدًا عَنِ الحَيَّةِ. 15 عِنْدَهَا سَكَبَتِ الحَيَّةُ عَلَى المَرْأةِ مَاءً مِنْ فَمِهَا كَالنَّهرِ، لِكَي يَجْرِفَهَا النَّهرُ. 16 لَكِنَّ الأرْضَ سَاعَدَتِ المَرْأةَ، فَفَتَحَتْ فَمَهَا وَابْتَلَعَتِ النَّهرَ الَّذِي سَكَبَهُ التِّنِّينُ مِنْ فَمِهِ. 17 فَاشتَعَلَ غَضَبُ التِّنِّينِ عَلَى المَرْأةِ، وَذَهَبَ لِيُحَارِبَ بَقِيَّةَ نَسْلِهَا الَّذِينَ يَحْفَظُونَ وَصَايَا اللهِ، وَيَشْهَدُونَ عَنْ يَسُوعَ.

12 Тогда великое знамение явилось в небе: женщина, облачённая в солнце. Под ногами у неё была луна, а на голове—венец из двенадцати звёзд. 2 Женщина была беременна, и она кричала от боли в муках родовых, так как роды уже начались.
3 И в этот момент новое видение явилось в небе: огромный красный дракон с семью головами, десятью рогами и семью венцами на головах. 4 Своим хвостом он смёл одну треть звёзд в небе и бросил их на землю. Дракон стоял перед женщиной, которая рожала, чтобы, как только она родит, сожрать её младенца.
5 Она родила сына, кому назначено править народами железным жезлом. Затем её ребёнка взяли и отнесли к Богу и к Его престолу. 6 После этого женщина убежала в пустыню, туда, где приготовлено ей было Богом место, чтобы там о ней заботились в продолжение одной тысячи двухсот шестидесяти дней.
7 Тогда разразилась война в небесах. Михаил[a] и его Ангелы сражались с драконом, а дракон вместе со своими ангелами сражались против них. 8 Однако дракон и его ангелы оказались недостаточно сильны, и поэтому они потеряли своё место на небесах. 9 Дракон был сброшен вниз. (Этот дракон—старый змей по прозванию «дьявол» и «сатана», который обманывает весь мир). Его сбросили на землю, и его ангелы были сброшены вместе с ним.
10 И тогда я услышал, как громкий голос в небесах сказал:
«Пришла победа, сила и царство нашего Бога,
и власть Его Христа!
Обвинитель наших братьев и сестёр,
клеветавший на них день и ночь
перед нашим Богом, низвергнут.
11 Наши братья победили Его кровью Агнца
и свидетельством истины.
Они не дорожили своей жизнью
даже под угрозой смерти.
12 Так ликуйте же, небеса и те, кто живут на них!
Но горе земле и морю, так как дьявол сошёл на вас!
Он полон злобы, так как знает,
что немного времени ему осталось!»
13 Когда дракон увидел, что его сбросили на землю, он стал преследовать женщину, родившую мальчика. 14 Но женщине дали два больших орлиных крыла, чтобы она улетела в пустыню, туда, где было ей приготовлено место. Там должны были заботиться о ней три с половиной года вдали от дракона[b]. 15 Тогда дракон, преследуя женщину, изверг из своей пасти воду, подобную реке, чтобы захлестнуть женщину. 16 Но земля помогла женщине и, открыв свои уста, поглотила воду, извергнутую драконом из пасти. 17 Дракон рассвирепел на женщину и отправился воевать с остальными её детьми, теми, кто исполняет Божьи заповеди и придерживается свидетельства Иисуса.
18 Дракон стоял на морском берегу.

12 ¶ Y una gran señal apareció en el cielo: una mujer vestida del sol, y la luna debajo de sus pies, y sobre su cabeza una corona de doce estrellas.
2 Y estando encinta, clamaba con dolores de parto, y sufría tormento por dar a luz.
3 Y apareció otra señal en el cielo: y he aquí un grande dragón bermejo, que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos, y en sus cabezas siete diademas.
4 Y su cola arrastraba la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo, y las echó en tierra. Y el dragón se paró delante de la mujer que estaba de parto, a fin de devorar a su hijo cuando hubiera nacido.
5 Y ella dio a luz un hijo varón, el cual había de regir todos los gentiles con vara de hierro; y su hijo fue arrebatado para Dios y para su trono.
6 Y la mujer huyó al desierto, donde tiene lugar aparejado de Dios, para que allí la mantengan mil doscientos sesenta días.
7 Y fue hecha una gran batalla en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles lidiaban contra el dragón; y lidiaba el dragón y sus ángeles.
8 Y no prevalecieron, ni su lugar fue más hallado en el cielo.
9 Y fue lanzado fuera aquel gran dragón, que es la serpiente antigua, que es llamado diablo y el Satanás, el cual engaña al mundo entero; y fue arrojado en tierra, y sus ángeles fueron derribados con él.
10 Y oí una gran voz en el cielo que decía: Ahora es hecha en el cielo salvación, y virtud, y Reino de nuestro Dios, y potencia de su Cristo; porque el acusador de nuestros hermanos es ya derribado, el cual los acusaba delante de nuestro Dios día y noche.
11 Y ellos le han vencido por la sangre del Cordero, y por la Palabra de su testimonio; y no han amado sus vidas hasta la muerte.
12 ¶ Por lo cual alegraos, cielos, y los que moráis en ellos. ¡Ay de los moradores de la tierra y del mar! Porque el diablo ha descendido a vosotros, teniendo gran ira, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo.
13 Y cuando vio el dragón que él había sido derribado en tierra, persiguió a la mujer que había dado a luz el hijo varón.
14 Y fueron dadas a la mujer dos alas del gran águila, para que de la presencia de la serpiente volara al desierto a su lugar, donde es mantenida por un tiempo, y tiempos, y la mitad de un tiempo.
15 Y la serpiente echó de su boca tras la mujer agua como un río, a fin de hacer que fuera arrebatada del río.
16 Y la tierra ayudó a la mujer; y la tierra abrió su boca, y sorbió el río que había echado el dragón de su boca.
17 Entonces el dragón fue airado contra la mujer; y se fue a hacer guerra contra los otros de la simiente de ella, los cuales guardan los mandamientos de Dios, y tienen el testimonio de Jesucristo.
