³ Another angel,^(A) who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people,^(B) on the golden altar^(C) in front of the throne.

⁸ And when he had taken it, the four living creatures^(A) and the twenty-four elders^(B) fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp^(C) and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers^(D) of God’s people.

⁴ The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God^(A) from the angel’s hand.

¹³ The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns^(A) of the golden altar that is before God.^(B)

¹⁰ And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.^(A)

¹¹ My name will be great^(A) among the nations,^(B) from where the sun rises to where it sets.^(C) In every place incense^(D) and pure offerings^(E) will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.

⁴ which had the golden altar of incense^(A) and the gold-covered ark of the covenant.^(B) This ark contained the gold jar of manna,^(C) Aaron’s staff that had budded,^(D) and the stone tablets of the covenant.^(E)

⁴⁶ Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer^(A) and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly^(B) to make atonement^(C) for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord;^(D) the plague^(E) has started.” ⁴⁷ So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people,^(F) but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them.
