To the Church in Laodicea

¹⁴ “To the angel of the church in Laodicea^(A) write:

The Supremacy of the Son of God

¹⁵ The Son is the image^(A) of the invisible God,^(B) the firstborn^(C) over all creation.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,^(A) the firstborn from the dead,^(B) and the ruler of the kings of the earth.^(C)

To him who loves us^(D) and has freed us from our sins by his blood,^(E)

¹⁸ And he is the head^(A) of the body, the church;^(B) he is the beginning and the firstborn^(C) from among the dead,^(D) so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

²⁰ For no matter how many promises^(A) God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen”^(B) is spoken by us to the glory of God.^(C)

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷ “To the angel of the church in Philadelphia^(A) write:

The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast

¹¹ I saw heaven standing open^(A) and there before me was a white horse, whose rider^(B) is called Faithful and True.^(C) With justice he judges and wages war.^(D)

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega,^(A) the First and the Last,^(B) the Beginning and the End.^(C)

⁵ Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the Lord be a true^(A) and faithful^(B) witness^(C) against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the Lord your God sends you to tell us.
