²¹ And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

¹⁹ Then ^(A)the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of ^[a]His covenant was seen in His temple. And ^(B)there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, ^(C)and great hail.

⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and they ^(A)blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; ^(B)and they did not repent ^(C)and give Him glory.

¹¹ They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

First Trumpet: Vegetation Struck

⁷ The first angel sounded: ^(A)And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown ^(B)to the ^[a]earth. And a third ^(C)of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

¹¹ And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, ^(A)that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.

²¹ I will ^(A)call for ^(B)a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. ^(C)“Every man’s sword will be against his brother. ²² And I will ^(D)bring him to judgment with ^(E)pestilence and bloodshed; ^(F)I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, ^(G)great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord God: “I will cause a stormy wind to break forth in My fury; and there shall be a flooding rain in My anger, and great hailstones in fury to consume it.

¹¹ say to those who plaster it with untempered mortar, that it will fall. ^(A)There will be flooding rain, and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall tear it down.

²¹ They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and ^(A)curse ^[a]their king and their God, and look upward.
