The Lamb and the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and behold, on ^(A)Mount Zion ^(B)stood the Lamb, and with him ^(C)144,000 who ^(D)had his name and his Father's name written ^(E)on their foreheads.

³² And it shall come to pass that ^(A)everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ^(B)For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among ^(C)the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.

³ saying, ^(A)“Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God ^(B)on their foreheads.” ⁴ And ^(C)I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

A Great Multitude from Every Nation

⁹ After this I looked, and behold, ^(D)a great multitude that no one could number, ^(E)from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, ^(F)clothed in white robes, with ^(G)palm branches in their hands, ¹⁰ and crying out with a loud voice, ^(H)“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” ¹¹ And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and ^(I)the four living creatures, and they ^(J)fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, ^12 (K)saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

¹³ Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, ^(L)clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” ¹⁴ I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of ^(M)the great tribulation. ^(N)They have washed their robes and ^(O)made them white ^(P)in the blood of the Lamb.

^12 (A)The one who conquers, I will make him ^(B)a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him ^(C)the name of my God, and ^(D)the name of the city of my God, ^(E)the new Jerusalem, ^(F)which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own ^(G)new name.

Acknowledge Christ Before Men

⁸ “And I tell you, ^(A)everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge ^(B)before the angels of God,

²² But you have come to ^(A)Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, ^(B)the heavenly Jerusalem, and to ^(C)innumerable angels in festal gathering, ²³ and to ^(D)the assembly^[a] of the firstborn who are ^(E)enrolled in heaven, and to ^(F)God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, ²⁴ and to Jesus, ^(G)the mediator of a new covenant, and to ^(H)the sprinkled blood ^(I)that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

⁵ And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, ^(A)the Lion ^(B)of the tribe of Judah, ^(C)the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

⁶ And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw ^(D)a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with ^(E)seven eyes, which are ^(F)the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. ⁷ And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. ⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^(G)fell down before the Lamb, ^(H)each holding a harp, and ^(I)golden bowls full of incense, ^(J)which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ And they sang ^(K)a new song, saying,
