¹¹ But after the three and a half days ^(A)a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

⁷ then the Lord God formed the man of ^(A)dust from the ground and ^(B)breathed into his ^(C)nostrils the breath of life, and ^(D)the man became a living creature.

⁵ Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause ^(A)breath^[a] to enter you, and you shall live. ^6 (B)And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and ^(C)cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, ^(D)and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

⁷ So I prophesied ^(E)as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, ^(F)a rattling,^[b] and the bones came together, bone to its bone. ⁸ And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But ^(G)there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then he said to me, ^(H)“Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, ^(I)son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from ^(J)the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ¹⁰ So I prophesied ^(K)as he commanded me, and ^(L)the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

¹¹ Then he said to me, ^(M)“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and ^(N)our hope is lost; ^(O)we are indeed cut off.’ ¹² Therefore ^(P)prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, ^(Q)I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And ^(R)I will bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³ And ^(S)you shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. ¹⁴ And ^(T)I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; ^(U)I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the Lord.”

⁹ For three and a half days some from the peoples and tribes and languages and nations will gaze at their dead bodies and ^(A)refuse to let them be placed in a tomb,

¹¹ If the Spirit of ^(A)him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus^[a] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ^(B)through his Spirit who dwells in you.

² For the law of ^(A)the Spirit of life ^(B)has set you^[a] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

¹¹ And ^(A)great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard of these things.

⁵ When Ananias heard these words, he ^(A)fell down and breathed his last. And ^(B)great fear came upon all who heard of it.

¹³ And at that hour there was ^(A)a great earthquake, and ^(B)a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and ^(C)gave glory to ^(D)the God of heaven.
