61 (61:1) Au chef des chantres. Sur instruments à cordes. De David. (61:2) O Dieu! écoute mes cris, Sois attentif à ma prière!
2 (61:3) Du bout de la terre je crie à toi, le coeur abattu; Conduis-moi sur le rocher que je ne puis atteindre!
3 (61:4) Car tu es pour moi un refuge, Une tour forte, en face de l'ennemi.
4 (61:5) Je voudrais séjourner éternellement dans ta tente, Me réfugier à l'abri de tes ailes. -Pause.
5 (61:6) Car toi, ô Dieu! tu exauces mes voeux, Tu me donnes l'héritage de ceux qui craignent ton nom.
6 (61:7) Ajoute des jours aux jours du roi; Que ses années se prolongent à jamais!
7 (61:8) Qu'il reste sur le trône éternellement devant Dieu! Fais que ta bonté et ta fidélité veillent sur lui!
8 (61:9) Alors je chanterai sans cesse ton nom, En accomplissant chaque jour mes voeux.

61 God, hear my cry;
listen to my prayer.
2 I call to you from the ends of the earth
when I am afraid.
Carry me away to a high mountain.
3 You have been my protection,
like a strong tower against my enemies.
4 Let me live in your Holy Tent forever.
Let me find safety in the shelter of your wings. Selah
5 God, you have heard my promises.
You have given me what belongs to those who fear you.
6 Give the king a long life;
let him live many years.
7 Let him rule in the presence of God forever.
Protect him with your love and truth.
8 Then I will praise your name forever,
and every day I will keep my promises.
