Hoffnung für Alle
Alle sollen es wissen: Der Herr allein ist König! (1. Chronik 16,23‒33)
96 Singt dem Herrn ein neues Lied,
singt dem Herrn, alle Bewohner der Erde!
2 Singt dem Herrn und preist seinen Namen!
Verkündet jeden Tag: »Gott ist ein Gott, der rettet!«
3 Erzählt den Völkern von seiner Hoheit!
Macht allen Menschen seine Wunder bekannt!
4 Denn groß ist der Herr! Jeder soll ihn rühmen!
Von allen Göttern soll man ihn allein fürchten.
5 Die Götter der Völker sind machtlose Figuren,
der Herr aber hat den Himmel geschaffen!
6 Majestät und Pracht gehen von ihm aus,
seine Stärke und Schönheit erfüllen den Tempel.
7 Gebt dem Herrn, was ihm gebührt;
ihr Völker, erkennt seine Ehre und Macht!
8 Preist seinen großen Namen, kommt zu seinem Heiligtum,
und bringt ihm eure Opfer dar!
9 Werft euch vor ihm nieder in seiner herrlichen Pracht![a]
Die ganze Welt soll vor ihm erzittern!
10 Sagt den Völkern: »Der Herr ist König!«
Er hat die Fundamente der Erde gelegt, niemals gerät sie ins Wanken.
Allen Völkern wird er ein gerechter Richter sein!
11 Der Himmel soll sich freuen und die Erde in Jubel ausbrechen!
Das Meer mit allem, was in ihm lebt,
soll zu seiner Ehre brausen und tosen!
12 Der Acker sei fröhlich mit allem, was auf ihm wächst!
Auch die Bäume im Wald sollen jubeln,
13 wenn der Herr kommt.
Ja, er kommt, um die Welt zu richten.
Sein Urteil über die Völker ist unbestechlich und gerecht.

2 Singt dem Herrn, preist seinen Namen,
verkündigt[b] Tag für Tag sein Heil!
3 Erzählt unter den Heiden von seiner Herrlichkeit,
unter allen Völkern von seinen Wundern!
4 Denn groß ist der Herr und hoch zu loben;
er ist furchtbar über alle Götter.
5 Denn alle Götter der Völker sind nichtige Götzen;
aber der Herr hat die Himmel gemacht.
6 Pracht und Majestät sind vor seinem Angesicht,
Stärke und Herrlichkeit in seinem Heiligtum.
7 Bringt dar dem Herrn, ihr Völkerstämme,
bringt dar dem Herrn Ehre und Lob!
8 Bringt dar dem Herrn die Ehre seines Namens,
bringt Gaben dar und geht ein zu seinen Vorhöfen!
9 Betet den Herrn an in heiligem Schmuck;
erbebt vor ihm, alle Welt!
10 Sagt unter den Heiden: Der Herr regiert als König![c]
Darum steht auch der Erdkreis fest und wankt nicht.
Er wird die Völker gerecht richten.
11 Es freue sich der Himmel, und die Erde frohlocke,
es brause das Meer und was es erfüllt!
12 Es jauchze das Feld und alles, was darauf ist!
Dann sollen alle Bäume des Waldes jubeln
13 vor dem Herrn, denn er kommt,
denn er kommt, um die Erde zu richten!
Er wird den Erdkreis richten mit Gerechtigkeit
und die Völker in seiner Treue.

1 Sing to the Lord(B) a new song;(C)
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;(D)
proclaim his salvation(E) day after day.
3 Declare his glory(F) among the nations,
his marvelous deeds(G) among all peoples.
4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;(H)
he is to be feared(I) above all gods.(J)
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols,(K)
but the Lord made the heavens.(L)
6 Splendor and majesty(M) are before him;
strength and glory(N) are in his sanctuary.
7 Ascribe to the Lord,(O) all you families of nations,(P)
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering(Q) and come into his courts.(R)
9 Worship the Lord(S) in the splendor of his[a] holiness;(T)
tremble(U) before him, all the earth.(V)
10 Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.(W)”
The world is firmly established,(X) it cannot be moved;(Y)
he will judge(Z) the peoples with equity.(AA)
11 Let the heavens rejoice,(AB) let the earth be glad;(AC)
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest(AD) sing for joy.(AE)
13 Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge(AF) the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness(AG)
and the peoples in his faithfulness.(AH)

4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
