Praise to the Lord, and Warning against Unbelief.
95 O come, let us (A)sing for joy to the Lord,
Let us shout joyfully to (B)the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us (C)come before His presence (D)with [a]thanksgiving,
Let us shout joyfully to Him (E)with [b]psalms.
3 For the Lord is a (F)great God
And a great King (G)above all gods,
4 In whose hand are the (H)depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
5 [c]The sea is His, for it was He (I)who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us (J)worship and bow down,
Let us (K)kneel before the Lord our (L)Maker.
7 For He is our God,
And (M)we are the people of His [d](N)pasture and the sheep of His hand.
(O)Today, [e]if you would hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts, as at [f](P)Meribah,
As in the day of [g](Q)Massah in the wilderness,
9 “When your fathers (R)tested Me,
They tried Me, though they had seen My work.
10 “For (S)forty years I loathed that generation,
And said they are a people who err in their heart,
And they do not know My ways.
11 “Therefore I (T)swore in My anger,
Truly they shall not enter into My (U)rest.”
A Call to Worship the Lord the Righteous Judge.
96 (V)Sing to the Lord a (W)new song;
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
(X)Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
3 Tell of (Y)His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
4 For (Z)great is the Lord and (AA)greatly to be praised;
He is to be (AB)feared (AC)above all gods.
5 For (AD)all the gods of the peoples are [h]idols,
But (AE)the Lord made the heavens.
6 (AF)Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 [i]Ascribe to the Lord, O (AG)families of the peoples,
[j](AH)Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
8 [k]Ascribe to the Lord the (AI)glory of His name;
Bring an [l](AJ)offering and come into His courts.
9 (AK)Worship the Lord in [m]holy attire;
(AL)Tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “(AM)The Lord reigns;
Indeed, the (AN)world is firmly established, it will not be moved;
He will (AO)judge the peoples with [n]equity.”
11 Let the (AP)heavens be glad, and let the (AQ)earth rejoice;
Let (AR)the sea [o]roar, and [p]all it contains;
12 Let the (AS)field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the (AT)trees of the forest will sing for joy
13 Before the Lord, (AU)for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
(AV)He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.
The Lord’s Power and Dominion.
97 (AW)The Lord [q]reigns, let the (AX)earth rejoice;
Let the many [r](AY)islands be glad.
2 (AZ)Clouds and thick darkness surround Him;
(BA)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 (BB)Fire goes before Him
And (BC)burns up His adversaries round about.
4 His (BD)lightnings lit up the world;
The earth saw and (BE)trembled.
5 The mountains (BF)melted like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the (BG)Lord of the whole earth.
6 The (BH)heavens declare His righteousness,
And (BI)all the peoples have seen His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve (BJ)graven images,
Who boast themselves of (BK)idols;
[s](BL)Worship Him, all you [t]gods.
8 Zion [u]heard this and (BM)was glad,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
9 For You are the Lord (BN)Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far (BO)above all [v]gods.
10 (BP)Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who (BQ)preserves the souls of His godly ones;
He (BR)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (BS)Light is sown like seed for the righteous
And (BT)gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be (BU)glad in the Lord, you righteous ones,
And (BV)give thanks [w]to His holy name.
A Call to Praise the Lord for His Righteousness.
A Psalm.
98 O sing to the Lord a (BW)new song,
For He has done (BX)wonderful things,
His (BY)right hand and His (BZ)holy arm have [x]gained the victory for Him.
2 (CA)The Lord has made known His salvation;
He has (CB)revealed His [y]righteousness in the sight of the nations.
3 He has (CC)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(CD)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 (CE)Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
(CF)Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
5 Sing praises to the Lord with the (CG)lyre,
With the lyre and the [z](CH)sound of melody.
6 With (CI)trumpets and the sound of the horn
(CJ)Shout joyfully before (CK)the King, the Lord.
7 Let the (CL)sea roar and [aa]all it contains,
The (CM)world and those who dwell in it.
8 Let the (CN)rivers clap their hands,
Let the (CO)mountains sing together for joy
9 Before the Lord, for He is coming to (CP)judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And (CQ)the peoples with [ab]equity.
Praise to the Lord for His Fidelity to Israel.
99 (CR)The Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble;
He [ac](CS)is enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth shake!
2 The Lord [ad]is (CT)great in Zion,
And He is (CU)exalted above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise Your (CV)great and awesome name;
(CW)Holy is [ae]He.
4 The [af]strength of the King (CX)loves [ag]justice;
You have established [ah](CY)equity;
You have (CZ)executed [ai]justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 [aj](DA)Exalt the Lord our God
And (DB)worship at His footstool;
(DC)Holy is He.
6 (DD)Moses and Aaron were among His (DE)priests,
And (DF)Samuel was among those who (DG)called on His name;
They (DH)called upon the Lord and He answered them.
7 He (DI)spoke to them in the pillar of cloud;
They (DJ)kept His testimonies
And the statute that He gave them.
8 O Lord our God, You (DK)answered them;
You were a (DL)forgiving God to them,
And yet an (DM)avenger of their evil deeds.
9 Exalt the Lord our God
And worship at His holy hill,
For holy is the Lord our God.

To You, O Lord, I will sing praises.

When will You come to me?
I will walk within my house in the [ar](EA)integrity of my heart.
3 I will set no (EB)worthless thing before my eyes;
I hate the [as]work of those who (EC)fall away;
It shall not fasten its grip on me.
4 A (ED)perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will know no evil.
5 Whoever secretly (EE)slanders his neighbor, him I will [at]destroy;
No one who has a (EF)haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.
6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a [au](EG)blameless way is the one who will minister to me.
7 He who (EH)practices deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who speaks falsehood (EI)shall not [av]maintain his position before me.
8 (EJ)Every morning I will [aw](EK)destroy all the wicked of the land,
So as to (EL)cut off from the (EM)city of the Lord all those who do iniquity.
Prayer of an Afflicted Man for Mercy on Himself and on Zion.

102 (EN)Hear my prayer, O Lord!
And let my cry for help (EO)come to You.
2 (EP)Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my distress;
(EQ)Incline Your ear to me;
In the day when I call (ER)answer me quickly.
3 For my days (ES)have been [ay]consumed in smoke,
And my (ET)bones have been scorched like a hearth.
4 My heart (EU)has been smitten like [az]grass and has (EV)withered away,
Indeed, I (EW)forget to eat my bread.
5 Because of the [ba]loudness of my groaning
My (EX)bones [bb]cling to my flesh.
6 I [bc]resemble a (EY)pelican of the wilderness;
I have become like an owl of the waste places.
7 I (EZ)lie awake,
I have become like a lonely bird on a housetop.
8 My enemies (FA)have reproached me all day long;

9 For I have eaten ashes like bread
And (FD)mingled my drink with weeping
10 (FE)Because of Your indignation and Your wrath,
For You have (FF)lifted me up and cast me away.

12 But You, O Lord, [bi](FI)abide forever,

13 You will (FK)arise and have (FL)compassion on Zion;
For (FM)it is time to be gracious to her,

14 Surely Your servants [bk]find pleasure in her stones
And feel pity for her dust.

And (FP)all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For the Lord has (FQ)built up Zion;
He has (FR)appeared in His glory.
17 He has (FS)regarded the prayer of the [bn]destitute
And has not despised their prayer.

[bp]That (FV)a people yet to be created [bq]may praise [br]the Lord.
19 For He (FW)looked down from His holy height;
(FX)From heaven the Lord gazed [bs]upon the earth,
20 To hear the (FY)groaning of the prisoner,
To (FZ)set free [bt]those who were doomed to death,
21 That men may (GA)tell of the name of the Lord in Zion
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When (GB)the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
23 He has weakened my strength in the way;
He has (GC)shortened my days.
24 I say, “O my God, (GD)do not take me away in the [bu]midst of my days,
Your (GE)years are throughout all generations.
25 “Of old You (GF)founded the earth,
And the (GG)heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 “[bv]Even they will (GH)perish, but You endure;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
27 “But You are [bw](GI)the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.
28 “The (GJ)children of Your servants will continue,
And their [bx](GK)descendants will be established before You.”

103 (GL)Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His (GM)holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And (GN)forget none of His benefits;
3 Who (GO)pardons all your iniquities,
Who (GP)heals all your diseases;
4 Who (GQ)redeems your life from the pit,
Who (GR)crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
5 Who (GS)satisfies your [by]years with good things,
So that your youth is (GT)renewed like the eagle.
6 The Lord (GU)performs [bz]righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are (GV)oppressed.
7 He (GW)made known His ways to Moses,
His (GX)acts to the sons of Israel.
8 The Lord is (GY)compassionate and gracious,
(GZ)Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
9 He (HA)will not always strive with us,
Nor will He (HB)keep His anger forever.
10 He has (HC)not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high (HD)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who [ca]fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He (HE)removed our transgressions from us.
13 Just (HF)as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who [cb]fear Him.
14 For (HG)He Himself knows [cc]our frame;
He (HH)is mindful that we are but (HI)dust.
15 As for man, his days are (HJ)like grass;
As a (HK)flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 When the (HL)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its (HM)place acknowledges it no longer.
17 But the (HN)lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [cd]fear Him,
And His [ce]righteousness (HO)to children’s children,
18 To (HP)those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.
19 The Lord has established His (HQ)throne in the heavens,
And His [cf](HR)sovereignty rules over [cg]all.
20 Bless the Lord, you (HS)His angels,
(HT)Mighty in strength, who (HU)perform His word,
(HV)Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all you (HW)His hosts,
You (HX)who serve Him, doing His will.

In all places of His dominion;
