²³ Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel ^(A)sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and ^(B)their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.

¹⁶ “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and ^(A)you shall anoint him to be prince over My people Israel; and he will deliver My people from the hand of the Philistines. For ^(B)I have regarded My people, because their cry has come to Me.”
