King James Version
83 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

2 Gud, var inte tyst,
tig inte, var inte stilla.
3 Se hur dina fiender larmar
och de som hatar dig sticker upp sina huvuden!
4 De gör upp onda planer mot ditt folk.
De sammansvärjer sig mot dem som du beskyddar.
5 ”Kom,” säger de, ”låt oss utplåna detta folk,
så att ingen längre kommer ihåg Israels namn.”
6 De är fullkomligt överens om det,
och de har ingått ett förbund mot dig,
7 Edoms boningar, ismaeliter,
Moab och hagaréer,
8 Geval, Ammon, Amalek,
filistéernas land och Tyros invånare.
9 Också Assyrien har förenat sig med dem
och lånat ut sin styrka åt Lots ättlingar. Séla
10 Gör med dem som du gjorde med Midjan,
och med Sisera och Javin vid Kishonbäcken,
11 dem som utplånades i En-Dor
och som blev till gödsel på marken.
12 Låt det gå deras mäktiga som Orev och Seev
och alla deras furstar som Sevach och Salmunna,
13 som sa: ”Låt oss inta Guds betesmarker!”
14 Min Gud, låt dem bli som virvlande ogräsfrö[a],
som agnar för vinden.
15 Så som elden bränner ner skog
och lågor svedjer berg,
16 jaga bort dem med din storm
och förskräck dem med ditt oväder.
17 Låt deras ansikten täckas av skam,
så att de söker ditt namn, Herre.
18 Låt dem skämmas och bli förskräckta,
låt dem komma på skam och förgås.
19 Låt dem inse att du, vars namn är Herren,
är den Högste över hela jorden.

1 O God, do not remain silent;(A)
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,(B)
how your foes rear their heads.(C)
3 With cunning they conspire(D) against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.(E)
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy(F) them as a nation,(G)
so that Israel’s name is remembered(H) no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together;(I)
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom(J) and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab(K) and the Hagrites,(L)
7 Byblos,(M) Ammon(N) and Amalek,(O)
Philistia,(P) with the people of Tyre.(Q)
8 Even Assyria(R) has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b](S)
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,(T)
as you did to Sisera(U) and Jabin(V) at the river Kishon,(W)
10 who perished at Endor(X)
and became like dung(Y) on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,(Z)
