Psalm 78:39-41

New International Version

³⁹He remembered that they were but flesh,^(A)
a passing breeze^(B) that does not return.

⁴⁰How often they rebelled^(C) against him in the wilderness^(D)
and grieved him^(E) in the wasteland!
⁴¹Again and again they put God to the test;^(F)
they vexed the Holy One of Israel.^(G)
