33 to him (B)who rides in (C)the heavens, the ancient heavens;
    behold, he (D)sends out his voice, his mighty voice.

Laws About the Sabbath and Festivals

10 (A)“For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield, 11 but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat. You shall do likewise with your vineyard, and with your olive orchard.

12 (B)“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.

13 (C)“Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.

14 (D)“Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me. 15 (E)You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of (F)Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. (G)None shall appear before me empty-handed. 16 You shall keep (H)the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the (I)Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor. 17 (J)Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord God.

18 (K)“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the fat of my feast remain until the morning.

19 “The best of the (L)firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God.

(M)“You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

Conquest of Canaan Promised

20 (N)“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. 21 Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; (O)do not rebel against him, (P)for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.

22 “But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then (Q)I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

23 (R)“When my angel goes before you and brings you (S)to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out, 24 you shall (T)not bow down to their gods nor serve them, (U)nor do as they do, but (V)you shall utterly overthrow them and break their (W)pillars in pieces. 25 You (X)shall serve the Lord your God, and (Y)he[a] will bless your bread and your water, and (Z)I will take sickness away from among you. 26 (AA)None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the (AB)number of your days. 27 I will send (AC)my terror before you and will throw into (AD)confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. 28 And (AE)I will send hornets[b] before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you. 29 (AF)I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. 30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land. 31 (AG)And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates,[c] for (AH)I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you. 32 (AI)You shall make no covenant with them and their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, (AJ)it will surely be a snare to you.”

The Passover with the Disciples

(A)Then came (B)the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. So Jesus[a] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.” They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” 10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters 11 and tell the master of the house, (C)‘The Teacher says to you, Where is (D)the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 12 And he will show you (E)a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” 13 And they went and found it (F)just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

Institution of the Lord's Supper

14 (G)And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[b] (H)until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and (I)when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 (J)For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine (K)until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 (L)And he took bread, and (M)when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, (N)“This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, (O)“This cup that is poured out for you is (P)the new (Q)covenant in my blood.[c]
