Good News Translation
A Prayer for Protection[a]
61 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer!
2 In despair and far from home
I call to you!
Take me to a safe refuge,
3 for you are my protector,
my strong defense against my enemies.
4 Let me live in your sanctuary all my life;
let me find safety under your wings.
5 You have heard my promises, O God,
and you have given me what belongs to those who honor you.
6 Add many years to the king's life;
let him live on and on!
7 May he rule forever in your presence, O God;
protect him with your constant love and faithfulness.
8 So I will always sing praises to you,
as I offer you daily what I have promised.

Послушай вика ми, Боже,
внимавай в молбата ми.
2 От краищата на земята ще викам към Тебе, когато примира сърцето ми;
заведи ме на канарата, която е много висока за мене.
3 (A)Защото Ти ми стана прибежище,
яка кула за закрила от неприятеля.
4 (B)В шатъра Ти ще обитавам винаги;
ще прибегна под покрива на Твоите криле (Села.);
5 защото Ти, Боже, си чул оброците ми,
дал си ми наследство, каквото даваш на онези, които се боят от името Ти.
6 (C)Ще прибавиш дни върху дните на царя
и годините му като род върху род.
7 (D)Той ще пребъдва пред Бога довека;
заповядай да го пазят милосърдието и верността.
8 Така ще славословя винаги Твоето име,
като изпълнявам оброците си всеки ден.

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;(C)
lead me to the rock(D) that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,(E)
a strong tower against the foe.(F)
4 I long to dwell(G) in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b](H)
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;(I)
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.(J)
