^5 (A)casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

²¹ because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but ^(A)became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

^6 (A)Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with ^(B)thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; ⁷ and ^(C)the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are ^(D)true, whatever things are ^(E)noble, whatever things are ^(F)just, ^(G)whatever things are pure, whatever things are ^(H)lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
