¹⁴ Having canceled out ^(A)the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us which was hostile to us, ^(B)He also has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. ¹⁵ Having ^[a](C)disarmed the ^(D)rulers and authorities, He ^(E)made a public display of them, having ^(F)triumphed over them in ^[b]Him.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children share in ^[a](A)flesh and blood, ^(B)He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that ^(C)through death He might render powerless ^(D)him who had the ^[b]power of death, that is, the devil,
