Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee(A) from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens,(B) you are there;
    if I make my bed(C) in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,(D)
    your right hand(E) will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark(F) to you;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to you.

I took you from the ends of the earth,(A)
    from its farthest corners I called(B) you.
I said, ‘You are my servant’;(C)
    I have chosen(D) you and have not rejected you.
10 So do not fear,(E) for I am with you;(F)
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

    will surely be ashamed and disgraced;(L)
those who oppose(M) you
    will be as nothing and perish.(N)
12 Though you search for your enemies,

Those who wage war against you
    will be as nothing(P) at all.
13 For I am the Lord your God
    who takes hold of your right hand(Q)
and says to you, Do not fear;
    I will help(R) you.
