He
33 (A)Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes;
and I will keep it (B)to the end.[a]
34 (C)Give me understanding, that I may keep your law
and observe it with my whole heart.
35 (D)Lead me in the path of your commandments,
for I (E)delight in it.
36 (F)Incline my heart to your testimonies,
and not to (G)selfish gain!
37 (H)Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
and (I)give me life in your ways.
38 (J)Confirm to your servant your promise,
(K)that you may be feared.
39 Turn away the (L)reproach that I dread,
for your rules are good.
40 Behold, I (M)long for your precepts;
(N)in your righteousness give me life!

Moses Makes New Tablets
34 The Lord said to Moses, (A)“Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, (B)and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, (C)which you broke. 2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me (D)on the top of the mountain. 3 No (E)one shall come up with you, and let no one be seen throughout all the mountain. Let no flocks or herds graze opposite that mountain.” 4 So Moses cut two tablets of stone like the first. And he rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand two tablets of stone. 5 The Lord (F)descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and (G)proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, (H)“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and (I)gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast (J)love and faithfulness, 7 (K)keeping steadfast love for thousands,[a] (L)forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but (M)who will by no means clear the guilty, (N)visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” 8 And Moses quickly (O)bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped. 9 And he said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, please (P)let the Lord go in the midst of us, for (Q)it is a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for (R)your inheritance.”
The Covenant Renewed
10 And he said, “Behold, (S)I am making a covenant. Before all your people (T)I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an (U)awesome thing that I will do with you.
11 “Observe what I command you this day. Behold, (V)I will drive out before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 12 (W)Take care, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land to which you go, lest it become a (X)snare in your midst. 13 You shall (Y)tear down their altars and (Z)break their pillars and cut down their (AA)Asherim 14 (for (AB)you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 (AC)lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they (AD)whore after their gods and sacrifice to their gods and (AE)you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, 16 and you take of (AF)their daughters for your sons, and their daughters (AG)whore after their gods and make your sons whore after their gods.
17 (AH)“You shall not make for yourself any gods of cast metal.

Acts 1:9-26
English Standard Version
9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, (A)he was lifted up, and (B)a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, (C)two (D)men stood by them in (E)white robes, 11 and said, (F)“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, (G)will (H)come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
Matthias Chosen to Replace Judas
12 Then (I)they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And when they had entered, they went up to (J)the upper room, where they were staying, (K)Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon (L)the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these (M)with one accord (N)were devoting themselves to prayer, together with (O)the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and (P)his brothers.[a]
15 In those days Peter stood up among (Q)the brothers (the company of persons was in all about 120) and said, 16 “Brothers, (R)the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, (S)who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. 17 For (T)he was numbered among us and was allotted his share in (U)this ministry.” 18 (Now this man (V)acquired a field with (W)the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong[b] he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out. 19 And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the field was called (X)in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) 20 “For it is written in the Book of Psalms,
(Y)“‘May his camp become desolate,
and let there be no one to dwell in it’;
and
(Z)“‘Let another take his office.’
21 So one of the men who have accompanied us during (AA)all the time that the Lord Jesus (AB)went in and out among us, 22 (AC)beginning from the baptism of John until the day when (AD)he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us (AE)a witness to his resurrection.” 23 And they put forward two, Joseph called (AF)Barsabbas, who was also called (AG)Justus, and (AH)Matthias. 24 And (AI)they prayed and said, “You, Lord, (AJ)who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen 25 to take the place in (AK)this ministry and (AL)apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” 26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
