22 For I am poor and needy,
And my heart is wounded within me.
23 I am gone (A)like a shadow when it lengthens;
I am shaken off like a locust.
24 My (B)knees are weak through fasting,
And my flesh is feeble from lack of fatness.
25 I also have become (C)a reproach to them;
When they look at me, (D)they shake their heads.

26 Help me, O Lord my God!
Oh, save me according to Your mercy,
27 (E)That they may know that this is Your hand—
That You, Lord, have done it!
28 (F)Let them curse, but You bless;
When they arise, let them be ashamed,
But let (G)Your servant rejoice.
29 (H)Let my accusers be clothed with shame,
And let them cover themselves with their own disgrace as with a mantle.

30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth;
Yes, (I)I will praise Him among the multitude.
31 For (J)He shall stand at the right hand of the poor,
To save him from those [a]who condemn him.

22 For I [am] poor and needy, And my heart hath been pierced in my midst.

23 As a shadow when it is stretched out I have gone, I have been driven away as a locust.

24 My knees have been feeble from fasting, And my flesh hath failed of fatness.

25 And I -- I have been a reproach to them, They see me, they shake their head.

26 Help me, O Jehovah my God, Save me, according to Thy kindness.

27 And they know that this [is] Thy hand, Thou, O Jehovah, Thou hast done it.

28 They revile, and Thou dost bless, They have risen, and are ashamed, And Thy servant doth rejoice.

29 Mine accusers put on blushing, and are covered, As an upper robe [is] their shame.

30 I thank Jehovah greatly with my mouth, And in the midst of many I praise Him,

31 For He standeth at the right hand of the needy, To save from those judging his soul.

24 My (E)knees [b]are weak from (F)fasting,
And my flesh has grown lean, without fatness.
25 I also have become a (G)disgrace to them;
When they see me, they (H)shake their head.

26 (I)Help me, Lord my God;
Save me according to Your mercy.
27 [c]And may they (J)know that this is Your hand;
You, Lord, have done it.
28 (K)They will curse, but You bless;
When they arise, they will be ashamed,
But Your (L)servant will be glad.
29 [d]May (M)my accusers be clothed with dishonor,
And [e]may they (N)cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

30 With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the Lord;
And (O)I will praise Him in the midst of many.

To save him from those who (Q)judge his soul.
