Psalm 105(A)

Give praise to the Lord,(B) proclaim his name;(C)
    make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him,(D) sing praise to him;(E)
    tell of all his wonderful acts.(F)
Glory in his holy name;(G)
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
    seek his face(H) always.

Remember the wonders(I) he has done,
    his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,(J)
you his servants, the descendants of Abraham,(K)
    his chosen(L) ones, the children of Jacob.
He is the Lord our God;
    his judgments are in all the earth.

He remembers his covenant(M) forever,
    the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
the covenant he made with Abraham,(N)
    the oath he swore to Isaac.
10 He confirmed it(O) to Jacob as a decree,
    to Israel as an everlasting covenant:(P)
11 “To you I will give the land of Canaan(Q)
    as the portion you will inherit.”(R)

12 When they were but few in number,(S)
    few indeed, and strangers in it,(T)
13 they wandered from nation to nation,(U)
    from one kingdom to another.
14 He allowed no one to oppress(V) them;
    for their sake he rebuked kings:(W)
15 “Do not touch(X) my anointed ones;
    do my prophets(Y) no harm.”

16 He called down famine(Z) on the land
    and destroyed all their supplies of food;
17 and he sent a man before them—
    Joseph, sold as a slave.(AA)
18 They bruised his feet with shackles,(AB)
    his neck was put in irons,
19 till what he foretold(AC) came to pass,
    till the word(AD) of the Lord proved him true.
20 The king sent and released him,
    the ruler of peoples set him free.(AE)
21 He made him master of his household,
    ruler over all he possessed,
22 to instruct his princes(AF) as he pleased
    and teach his elders wisdom.(AG)

23 Then Israel entered Egypt;(AH)
    Jacob resided(AI) as a foreigner in the land of Ham.(AJ)
24 The Lord made his people very fruitful;
    he made them too numerous(AK) for their foes,
25 whose hearts he turned(AL) to hate his people,
    to conspire(AM) against his servants.
26 He sent Moses(AN) his servant,
    and Aaron,(AO) whom he had chosen.(AP)
27 They performed(AQ) his signs(AR) among them,
    his wonders(AS) in the land of Ham.
28 He sent darkness(AT) and made the land dark—
    for had they not rebelled against(AU) his words?
29 He turned their waters into blood,(AV)
    causing their fish to die.(AW)
30 Their land teemed with frogs,(AX)
    which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
31 He spoke,(AY) and there came swarms of flies,(AZ)
    and gnats(BA) throughout their country.
32 He turned their rain into hail,(BB)
    with lightning throughout their land;
33 he struck down their vines(BC) and fig trees(BD)
    and shattered the trees of their country.
34 He spoke,(BE) and the locusts came,(BF)
    grasshoppers(BG) without number;(BH)
35 they ate up every green thing in their land,
    ate up the produce of their soil.
36 Then he struck down all the firstborn(BI) in their land,
    the firstfruits of all their manhood.
37 He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold,(BJ)
    and from among their tribes no one faltered.
38 Egypt was glad when they left,
    because dread of Israel(BK) had fallen on them.

39 He spread out a cloud(BL) as a covering,
    and a fire to give light at night.(BM)
40 They asked,(BN) and he brought them quail;(BO)
    he fed them well with the bread of heaven.(BP)
41 He opened the rock,(BQ) and water gushed out;
    it flowed like a river in the desert.

42 For he remembered his holy promise(BR)
    given to his servant Abraham.
43 He brought out his people with rejoicing,(BS)
    his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
44 he gave them the lands of the nations,(BT)
    and they fell heir to what others had toiled(BU) for—
45 that they might keep his precepts
    and observe his laws.(BV)

Praise the Lord.[a](BW)

Tell of All His Wondrous Works

105 (A)Oh give thanks to the Lord; (B)call upon his name;
    (C)make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    (D)tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his (E)strength;
    (F)seek his presence continually!
Remember the (G)wondrous works that he has done,
    his miracles, and (H)the judgments he uttered,
O offspring of (I)Abraham, his servant,
    children of Jacob, his (J)chosen ones!

He is the Lord our God;
    his (K)judgments are in all the earth.
He (L)remembers his covenant forever,
    the word that he commanded, for (M)a thousand generations,
(N)the covenant that he made with Abraham,
    his (O)sworn promise to Isaac,
10 which he confirmed to (P)Jacob as a statute,
    to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, (Q)“To you I will give the land of Canaan
    as (R)your portion for an inheritance.”

12 When they were (S)few in number,
    of little account, and (T)sojourners in it,
13 wandering from nation to nation,
    from one kingdom to another people,
14 he (U)allowed no one to oppress them;
    he (V)rebuked kings on their account,
15 saying, (W)“Touch not my anointed ones,
    do my prophets no harm!”

16 When he (X)summoned a famine on the land
    and (Y)broke all supply[a] of bread,
17 he had (Z)sent a man ahead of them,
    Joseph, who was (AA)sold as a slave.
18 His (AB)feet were hurt with fetters;
    his neck was put in a collar of iron;
19 until (AC)what he had said came to pass,
    the word of the Lord (AD)tested him.
20 (AE)The king sent and (AF)released him;
    the ruler of the peoples set him free;
21 he (AG)made him lord of his house
    and ruler of all his possessions,
22 to bind[b] his princes at his pleasure
    and to teach his elders wisdom.

23 Then (AH)Israel came to Egypt;
    Jacob (AI)sojourned in (AJ)the land of Ham.
24 And the Lord (AK)made his people very fruitful
    and made them stronger than their foes.
25 He (AL)turned their hearts to hate his people,
    to (AM)deal craftily with his servants.

26 He (AN)sent Moses, his servant,
    and Aaron, (AO)whom he had chosen.
27 (AP)They performed his signs among them
    and miracles in (AQ)the land of Ham.
28 He (AR)sent darkness, and made the land dark;
    they (AS)did not rebel[c] against his words.
29 He turned their waters into blood
    and (AT)caused their fish to die.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs,
    even in (AU)the chambers of their kings.
31 He spoke, and there came (AV)swarms of flies,
    (AW)and gnats throughout their country.
32 He gave them hail for rain,
    and fiery (AX)lightning bolts through their land.
33 He struck down their vines and fig trees,
    and (AY)shattered the trees of their country.
34 He spoke, and the (AZ)locusts came,
    young locusts without number,
35 which devoured all the vegetation in their land
    and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36 He (BA)struck down all the firstborn in their land,
    (BB)the firstfruits of all their strength.

37 Then he brought out Israel with (BC)silver and gold,
    and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
38 (BD)Egypt was glad when they departed,
    for (BE)dread of them had fallen upon it.

39 He (BF)spread a cloud for a covering,
    and fire to give light by night.
40 (BG)They asked, and he (BH)brought quail,
    and gave them (BI)bread from heaven in abundance.
41 He opened the rock, and (BJ)water gushed out;
    it flowed through (BK)the desert like a river.
42 For he (BL)remembered his holy promise,
    and (BM)Abraham, his servant.

43 So he brought his people out with joy,
    his (BN)chosen ones with (BO)singing.
44 And he (BP)gave them the lands of the nations,
    and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples' toil,
45 that they might (BQ)keep his statutes
    and (BR)observe his laws.
(BS)Praise the Lord!

  3. Psalm 105:28 Septuagint, Syriac omit not

20 Atëherë mbreti dërgoi ta zgjidhnin, sunduesi i popujve dërgoi ta çlironin,

32 U dërgoi breshër në vend të shiut dhe flakë zjarri në vendin e tyre;

36 Ai goditi edhe të gjithë të parëlindurit në vendin e tyre, prodhimet e para në tërë fuqinë e tyre;

42 Sepse atij iu kujtua premtimi i shenjtë që i kishte bërë Abrahamit, shërbëtorit të tij;

Aleluja.

Thanksgiving for God’s Deliverance

105 Give thanks to the Lord,
    call on his name,
        and make his deeds known among the people.
Sing to him! Praise him!
    Declare all his awesome deeds!
Exult in his holy name;
    let all[a] those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his face continually.
Remember his awesome deeds that he has done,
    his wonders and the judgments he declared.
You descendants of Abraham, his servant,
    You children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

He is the Lord our God;
    his judgments extend to the entire earth.
He remembers his eternal covenant—
    every promise he made[b] for a thousand generations,
like the covenant he made[c] with Abraham,
    and his promise to Isaac.
10 He presented it to Jacob as a decree,
    to Israel as an everlasting covenant.
11 He said: “I will give Canaan to you
    as the allotted portion that is your inheritance.”

12 When the Hebrews[d] were few in number—so very few—
    and were sojourners in it,
13 they wandered from nation to nation,
    from one kingdom to another.[e]
14 He did not allow anyone to oppress them,
    or any kings to reprove them.
15 “Don’t touch my anointed
    or hurt my prophets!”

16 He declared a famine on the land;
    destroying the entire food supply.[f]
17 He sent a man before them—
    Joseph, who had been sold as a slave.
18 They bound his feet with fetters
    and placed an iron collar on his neck,[g]
19 until the time his prediction came true,
    as the word of the Lord refined him.
20 He sent a king who released him,
    a ruler of people who set him free.
21 He made him the master over his household,
    the manager of all his possessions—
22 to discipline his rulers at will
    and make his elders wise.

23 Then Israel came to Egypt;
    indeed, Jacob lived in the land of Ham.[h]

24 He caused his people to multiply greatly;
    and be more numerous than their enemies.
25 He caused them[i] to hate his people
    and to deceive his servants.
26 He sent his servant Moses, along with Aaron,
    whom he had chosen.
27 They performed his signs among them,
    his wonders in the land of Ham.[j]

28 He sent darkness, and it became dark.
    Did they not rebel against[k] his words?
29 He turned their water into blood,
    so that the fish died.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs
    even to the chambers of their kings.
31 He spoke,
    and a swarm of insects invaded their land.[l]

32 He sent hail instead of rain,
    and lightning throughout their land.
33 It destroyed their vines and their figs,
    breaking trees throughout their country.[m]
34 Then he commanded the locust to come—
    grasshoppers without number.
35 They consumed every green plant in their land,
    and devoured the fruit of their soil.
36 He struck down every firstborn in their land,
    the first fruits of all their progeny.

37 Then he brought Israel[n] out with silver and gold,
    and no one among his tribes stumbled.
38 The Egyptians rejoiced when they left,
    because fear of Israel[o] descended on them.
39 He spread out a cloud for a cover,
    and fire for light at night.
40 Israel[p] asked, and quail came;
    food from heaven satisfied them.
41 He opened a rock, and water gushed out
    flowing like a river in the desert.

42 Indeed, he remembered his sacred promise
    to his servant Abraham.
43 He led his people out with gladness,
    his chosen ones with shouts of joy.
44 He gave to them the land of nations;
    they inherited the labor of other[q] people
45 so they might keep his statutes
    and observe his laws.
        Hallelujah!
