Psalm 104
Young's Literal Translation
104 Bless, O my soul, Jehovah! Jehovah, my God, Thou hast been very great, Honour and majesty Thou hast put on.
2 Covering himself [with] light as a garment, Stretching out the heavens as a curtain,
3 Who is laying the beam of His upper chambers in the waters, Who is making thick clouds His chariot, Who is walking on wings of wind,
4 Making His messengers -- the winds, His ministers -- the flaming fire.
5 He hath founded earth on its bases, It is not moved to the age and for ever.
6 The abyss! as with clothing Thou hast covered it, Above hills do waters stand.
7 From Thy rebuke they flee, From the voice of Thy thunder haste away.
8 They go up hills -- they go down valleys, Unto a place Thou hast founded for them.
9 A border Thou hast set, they pass not over, They turn not back to cover the earth.
10 Who is sending forth fountains in valleys, Between hills they go on.
11 They water every beast of the field, Wild asses break their thirst.
12 By them the fowl of the heavens doth dwell, From between the branches They give forth the voice.
13 Watering hills from His upper chambers, From the fruit of Thy works is the earth satisfied.
14 Causing grass to spring up for cattle, And herb for the service of man, To bring forth bread from the earth,
15 And wine -- it rejoiceth the heart of man, To cause the face to shine from oil, And bread -- the heart of man it supporteth.
16 Satisfied [are] the trees of Jehovah, Cedars of Lebanon that He hath planted,
17 Where birds do make nests, The stork -- the firs [are] her house.
18 The high hills [are] for wild goats, Rocks [are] a refuge for conies,
19 He made the moon for seasons, The sun hath known his place of entrance.
20 Thou settest darkness, and it is night, In it doth every beast of the forest creep.
21 The young lions are roaring for prey, And to seek from God their food.
22 The sun riseth, they are gathered, And in their dens they crouch.
23 Man goeth forth to his work, And to his service -- till evening.
24 How many have been Thy works, O Jehovah, All of them in wisdom Thou hast made, Full is the earth of thy possessions.
25 This, the sea, great and broad of sides, There [are] moving things -- innumerable, Living creatures -- small with great.
26 There do ships go: leviathan, That Thou hast formed to play in it.
27 All of them unto Thee do look, To give their food in its season.
28 Thou dost give to them -- they gather, Thou dost open Thy hand -- they [are] satisfied [with] good.
29 Thou hidest Thy face -- they are troubled, Thou gatherest their spirit -- they expire, And unto their dust they turn back.
30 Thou sendest out Thy Spirit, they are created, And Thou renewest the face of the ground.
31 The honour of Jehovah is to the age, Jehovah rejoiceth in His works,
32 Who is looking to earth, and it trembleth, He cometh against hills, and they smoke.
33 I sing to Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.
34 Sweet is my meditation on Him, I -- I do rejoice in Jehovah.
35 Consumed are sinners from the earth, And the wicked are no more. Bless, O my soul, Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah!

104 Bless (B)the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,
2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.
3 (C)He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters,
Who makes the clouds His chariot,
Who walks on the wings of the wind,
4 Who makes His angels spirits,
His [a]ministers a flame of fire.
5 You who [b]laid the foundations of the earth,
So that it should not be moved forever,
6 You (D)covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters stood above the mountains.
7 At Your rebuke they fled;
At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.
8 [c]They went up over the mountains;
They went down into the valleys,
To the place which You founded for them.
9 You have (E)set a boundary that they may not pass over,
(F)That they may not return to cover the earth.
10 He sends the springs into the valleys;
They flow among the hills.
11 They give drink to every beast of the field;
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 By them the birds of the heavens have their home;
They sing among the branches.
13 (G)He waters the hills from His upper chambers;
The earth is satisfied with (H)the fruit of Your works.
14 (I)He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And vegetation for the service of man,
That he may bring forth (J)food from the earth,
15 And (K)wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face shine,
And bread which strengthens man’s heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17 Where the birds make their nests;
The stork has her home in the fir trees.
18 The high hills are for the wild goats;
The cliffs are a refuge for the (L)rock[d] badgers.
19 (M)He appointed the moon for seasons;
The (N)sun knows its going down.
20 (O)You make darkness, and it is night,
In which all the beasts of the forest creep about.
21 (P)The young lions roar after their prey,
And seek their food from God.
22 When the sun rises, they gather together
And lie down in their dens.
23 Man goes out to (Q)his work
And to his labor until the evening.
24 (R)O Lord, how manifold are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all.
The earth is full of Your (S)possessions—
25 This great and wide sea,
In which are innumerable teeming things,
Living things both small and great.
26 There the ships sail about;
There is that (T)Leviathan[e]
Which You have [f]made to play there.
27 (U)These all wait for You,
That You may give them their food in due season.
28 What You give them they gather in;
You open Your hand, they are filled with good.
29 You hide Your face, they are troubled;
(V)You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
30 (W)You send forth Your Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the earth.
31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
May the Lord (X)rejoice in His works.
32 He looks on the earth, and it (Y)trembles;
(Z)He touches the hills, and they smoke.
33 (AA)I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 May my (AB)meditation be sweet to Him;
I will be glad in the Lord.
35 May (AC)sinners be consumed from the earth,
And the wicked be no more.

Lạy CHÚA, Đức Chúa Trời tôi, Ngài thật vĩ đại thay!
Ngài trang phục bằng vinh quang và oai nghiêm.
2 Ngài choàng mình bằng chiếc áo ánh sáng;
Ngài căng các tầng trời ra như căng lều trại;
3 Ngài dựng cột xây cung điện trên các lớp nước;[a]
Ngài lấy mây làm xe
Và bước đi trên cánh gió.
4 Ngài sai gió làm sứ giả
Và lấy ngọn lửa làm tôi tớ.
5 Ngài lập đất trên các nền,
Cho nên đời đời nó sẽ không lay chuyển.
6 Ngài dùng vực sâu bao bọc nó như chiếc áo;[b]
Nước được dâng cao hơn các núi.
7 Ngài quở trách, chúng phải bỏ trốn;
Nghe tiếng sấm của Ngài chúng vội bỏ chạy.
8 Núi non nâng cao;
Thung lũng hạ thấp,
Nước chạy đến chỗ Ngài đã định cho chúng.[c]
9 Ngài định giới hạn để nước không vượt qua,
Không tràn ngập trái đất nữa.
10 Ngài làm các suối phun lên nơi thung lũng,
Chảy qua giữa các đồi;
11 Chúng cung cấp nước cho tất cả thú rừng;
Những con lừa hoang cũng được giải khát.
12 Chim chóc làm tổ bên các giòng suối
Và cất tiếng hót trên những cành cây.
13 Từ cung điện trên cao Ngài tưới núi non;
Đất đai tràn ngập hoa quả nhờ công việc Ngài.
14 Ngài làm cỏ xanh mọc lên cho súc vật,
Cây cối mà loài người trồng trọt[d]
Từ đất, nơi cung cấp thực phẩm;
15 Rượu nho làm lòng người vui vẻ;
Dầu ô-liu làm cho da mặt tươi sáng
Và thực phẩm để tâm thần người ta mạnh mẽ.
16 Cây cối của CHÚA được tưới đầy đủ;
Ấy là các cây tùng mà Ngài đã trồng tại Li-ban;
17 Trên ấy chim chóc làm tổ;
Còn cò thì lấy cây thông làm chỗ ở;
18 Các núi cao là nơi ở của dê rừng;
Những vách đá là chỗ trú ẩn của chuột đồng.
19 Ngài đã làm nên mặt trăng để phân định mùa;
Mặt trời biết giờ nó lặn.
20 Ngài tạo nên bóng tối, ấy là đêm;
Lúc ấy tất cả thú rừng đi ra.
21 Các sư tử tơ gầm thét tìm mồi;
Chúng đi kiếm mồi do Đức Chúa Trời cung cấp;
22 Khi mặt trời mọc lên,
Chúng nó rút về nằm trong hang;
23 Còn loài người đi ra làm việc,
Họ lao động cho đến chiều tối.
24 Lạy CHÚA, công việc của Ngài nhiều biết bao!
Ngài đã dùng khôn ngoan làm nên tất cả,
Trái đất đầy dẫy tạo vật của Ngài.
25 Kìa là biển cả vĩ đại bao la;
Đầy những vật ở trong đó,
Là những sinh vật nhỏ và lớn không thể đếm được;
26 Ở đó tàu thuyền đi lại;
Lê-vi-a-than[e] mà Ngài đã tạo ra cũng đùa giỡn nơi đó.
27 Tất cả đều ngưỡng trông Ngài
Để Ngài ban cho đồ ăn đúng thì.
28 Chúa ban cho chúng,
Chúng nhận lấy;
Ngài mở bàn tay ra,
Chúng được no nê vật ngon.
29 Khi Ngài lánh mặt đi,
Chúng kinh hoàng;
Khi Ngài cất sinh khí đi,
Chúng chết và trở về bụi đất.
30 Khi Ngài ban Thần của Ngài đến,[f]
Sinh vật được tạo nên
Và Ngài làm mới lại mặt đất.
31 Nguyện vinh quang của CHÚA còn mãi mãi;
Nguyện CHÚA vui vẻ về công việc Ngài.
32 Ngài nhìn trái đất, đất run rẩy;
Ngài sờ đến núi non, núi bốc khói.
33 Trọn đời, tôi sẽ ca hát cho CHÚA;
Suốt đời, tôi sẽ ca tụng Đức Chúa Trời tôi.
34 Nguyện sự suy tư của tôi đẹp lòng Ngài
Vì tôi vui mừng trong CHÚA.
35 Nguyện kẻ tội lỗi bị diệt khỏi đất
Và kẻ gian ác không còn nữa.
Hỡi linh hồn ta, hãy ca tụng CHÚA!
