15 let him fall into his own trap. 16 May the violence he plans for others boomerang upon himself; let him die.

17 Oh, how grateful and thankful I am to the Lord because he is so good. I will sing praise to the name of the Lord who is above all lords.

15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out
    falls into the pit(A) they have made.(B)
16 The trouble they cause recoils on them;
    their violence comes down on their own heads.

17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;(C)
    I will sing the praises(D) of the name of the Lord Most High.(E)
