    deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
    from those who pursue me.

    your right hand upholds me.^(B)

⁹ Those who want to kill me will be destroyed;^(C)
    they will go down to the depths of the earth.^(D)
10 They will be given over to the sword^(E)
    and become food for jackals.^(F)

¹¹ But the king will rejoice in God;
    all who swear by God will glory in him,^(G)
    while the mouths of liars will be silenced.^(H)

⁹ If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
¹⁰ even there your hand will guide me,^(A)
    your right hand^(B) will hold me fast.
