149 הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ׀ שִׁ֣ירוּ לַֽ֭יהוָה שִׁ֣יר חָדָ֑שׁ תְּ֝הִלָּת֗וֹ בִּקְהַ֥ל חֲסִידִֽים׃
2 יִשְׂמַ֣ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל בְּעֹשָׂ֑יו בְּנֵֽי־צִ֝יּ֗וֹן יָגִ֥ילוּ בְמַלְכָּֽם׃
3 יְהַֽלְל֣וּ שְׁמ֣וֹ בְמָח֑וֹל בְּתֹ֥ף וְ֝כִנּ֗וֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃
4 כִּֽי־רוֹצֶ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה בְּעַמּ֑וֹ יְפָאֵ֥ר עֲ֝נָוִ֗ים בִּישׁוּעָֽה׃
5 יַעְלְז֣וּ חֲסִידִ֣ים בְּכָב֑וֹד יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָֽם׃
6 רוֹמְמ֣וֹת אֵ֭ל בִּגְרוֹנָ֑ם וְחֶ֖רֶב פִּֽיפִיּ֣וֹת בְּיָדָֽם׃
7 לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת נְ֭קָמָה בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם תּֽ֝וֹכֵחֹ֗ת בַּל־אֻמִּֽים׃
8 לֶאְסֹ֣ר מַלְכֵיהֶ֣ם בְּזִקִּ֑ים וְ֝נִכְבְּדֵיהֶ֗ם בְּכַבְלֵ֥י בַרְזֶֽל׃
9 לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת בָּהֶ֨ם׀ מִשְׁפָּ֬ט כָּת֗וּב הָדָ֣ר ה֭וּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָ֗יו הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃
Psalm 149
Young's Literal Translation
149 Praise ye Jah! Sing ye to Jehovah a new song, His praise in an assembly of saints.
2 Israel doth rejoice in his Maker, Sons of Zion do joy in their king.
3 They praise His name in a dance, With timbrel and harp sing praise to Him.
4 For Jehovah is pleased with His people, He beautifieth the humble with salvation.
5 Exult do saints in honour, They sing aloud on their beds.
6 The exaltation of God [is] in their throat, And a two-edged sword in their hand.
7 To do vengeance among nations, Punishments among the peoples.
8 To bind their kings with chains, And their honoured ones with fetters of iron,
9 To do among them the judgment written, An honour it [is] for all his saints. Praise ye Jah!
Psalm 149

Israel Invoked to Praise the Lord.
149 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Sing a (A)new song to the Lord,
And His praise (B)in the congregation of the godly ones.
2 Israel shall be joyful in (C)his Maker;
The sons of Zion shall rejoice in their (D)King.
3 They shall praise His name with (E)dancing;
They shall sing praises to Him with (F)tambourine and lyre.
4 For the Lord (G)takes pleasure in His people;
He will (H)glorify the lowly with salvation.
5 The (I)godly ones shall be jubilant in glory;
They shall (J)sing for joy on their beds.
6 The (K)high praises of God shall be in their [c]mouths,
And a (L)two-edged (M)sword in their hands,
7 To (N)execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,
8 To bind their kings (O)with chains,
And their (P)dignitaries with shackles of iron,
9 To (Q)execute against them the judgment written.
This is an (R)honor for all His godly ones.
