139 O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do];
You understand my thought from afar.(A)
3
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
4
Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken],
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.(B)
5
You have enclosed me behind and before,
And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.
6
Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it.

2 Tú has conocido mi sentarme y mi levantarme;
Has entendido desde lejos mis pensamientos.
3 Has escudriñado mi andar y mi reposo,
Y todos mis caminos te son conocidos.
4 Pues aún no está la palabra en mi lengua,
Y he aquí, oh Jehová, tú la sabes toda.
5 Detrás y delante me rodeaste,
Y sobre mí pusiste tu mano.
6 Tal conocimiento es demasiado maravilloso para mí;
Alto es, no lo puedo comprender.

3 You discern my going out(E) and my lying down;

4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.(G)
5 You hem me in(H) behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,(I)
too lofty(J) for me to attain.
