Psaltaren 44-45
Svenska Folkbibeln 2015
men våra fäder planterade du.
Andra folk förgjorde du,
men dem lät du breda ut sig.
4 (C) Det var inte med sitt svärd
som de intog landet,
inte deras egen arm
som frälste dem.
Nej, det var din högra hand,
din arm och ditt ansiktes ljus,
för du älskade dem.
5 Du är min kung, o Gud.
Ge befallning om frälsning
för Jakob!
6 (D) Genom dig ska vi slå ner
våra fiender,
genom ditt namn trampa ner
våra motståndare.
7 (E) Jag litar inte till min båge,
mitt svärd kan inte frälsa mig.
8 Nej, du har frälst oss
från våra fiender,
du lät dem som hatar oss
få skämmas.
9 (F) Gud, vi lovar dig dagen lång,
vi prisar ditt namn för evigt.
Sela
10 (G) Ändå har du förkastat oss
och vanärat oss,
du drar inte ut med våra härar.
11 Du låter oss ge vika för fienden,
och de som hatar oss tar byte.
12 Du gör oss till slaktfår
och skingrar oss
bland hednafolken.
13 (H) Du säljer ditt folk för ingenting,
du gör ingen vinst på affären.
14 (I) Du gör oss till åtlöje
för våra grannar,
till spott och spe
för dem som bor omkring oss.
15 Du gör oss till ett ordspråk
bland hednafolken,
man skakar på huvudet
bland folken.
hemligheter?
23 (M) Nej, för din skull
dödas vi dagen lång,
vi räknas som slaktfår.
24 Vakna! Varför sover du, Herre?
Vakna upp, förkasta oss inte
för alltid!
25 Varför döljer du ditt ansikte
och glömmer vårt lidande
och betryck?
26 Vår själ är nerböjd i stoftet,
vår kropp är nertryckt mot jorden.
27 Grip in och hjälp oss!
Friköp oss för din nåds skull.
Messiaskungen och hans brud
45 För körledaren, till "Liljorna". En vishetspsalm, en kärlekssång av Koras söner.
2 (N) Mitt hjärta flödar över av sköna ord,
jag säger: Min sång gäller en kung[a].
Min tunga är en snabb skrivares
penna.
3 (O) Skönast är du bland människors barn,
nåd är utgjuten över dina läppar.
Därför har Gud välsignat dig
för evigt.
4 Fäst ditt svärd vid din sida, du hjälte,
i din höghet och härlighet.
5 (P) Dra så segerrik ut i din härlighet
för sanning, ödmjukhet
och rättfärdighet.
Din högra hand ska visa dig
underbara ting.
6 Dina pilar är skarpa,
folken ska falla för dig,
kungens fiender ska träffas
i hjärtat.
7 (Q) Gud, din tron består
i evigheters evighet,
ditt rikes spira är rättens spira.
8 (R) Du älskar rättfärdighet
och hatar orättfärdighet.
Därför, Gud, har din Gud
smort dig[b] med glädjens olja
mer än dina medbröder.
9 Av myrra, aloe och kassia
doftar alla dina kläder,
från elfenbenspalats
gläder dig strängars klang.
10 (S) Kungadöttrar är bland dina utvalda[c],
drottningen står vid din högra sida
i guld från Ofir.
11 (T) Hör, dotter, se och lyssna!
Glöm ditt folk och din fars hus
12 och låt kungen åtrå din skönhet,
för han är din herre.
Böj dig och tillbe honom!
13 (U) Dottern Tyrus kommer med gåvor,
de rika bland folket
söker din gunst.
14 (V) Full av härlighet
är kungadottern där inne,
av guldbrokad är hennes dräkt.
15 I färggranna[d] kläder
förs hon till kungen,
åtföljd av jungfrur,
hennes väninnor
som leds in till dig.
16 Med glädje och jubel förs de fram,
de tågar in i kungens palats.
17 (W) I dina fäders ställe
ska dina söner komma,
du[e] ska sätta dem till furstar
över hela jorden[f].
18 (X) Ditt namn vill jag göra känt
genom alla släkten.
Därför ska folken lova dig
i evigheters evighet.

Psalm 44[a]
For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A maskil.[b]
1 We have heard it with our ears,(A) O God;
our ancestors have told us(B)
what you did in their days,
in days long ago.(C)
2 With your hand you drove out(D) the nations
and planted(E) our ancestors;
you crushed(F) the peoples
and made our ancestors flourish.(G)
3 It was not by their sword(H) that they won the land,
nor did their arm bring them victory;
it was your right hand,(I) your arm,(J)
and the light(K) of your face, for you loved(L) them.
4 You are my King(M) and my God,(N)
who decrees[c] victories(O) for Jacob.
5 Through you we push back(P) our enemies;
through your name we trample(Q) our foes.
6 I put no trust in my bow,(R)
my sword does not bring me victory;
7 but you give us victory(S) over our enemies,
you put our adversaries to shame.(T)
8 In God we make our boast(U) all day long,(V)
and we will praise your name forever.[d](W)
9 But now you have rejected(X) and humbled us;(Y)
you no longer go out with our armies.(Z)

gaining nothing from their sale.
13 You have made us a reproach(AF) to our neighbors,(AG)
the scorn(AH) and derision(AI) of those around us.
14 You have made us a byword(AJ) among the nations;
the peoples shake their heads(AK) at us.
15 I live in disgrace(AL) all day long,
and my face is covered with shame(AM)
16 at the taunts(AN) of those who reproach and revile(AO) me,
because of the enemy, who is bent on revenge.(AP)
17 All this came upon us,
though we had not forgotten(AQ) you;
we had not been false to your covenant.
18 Our hearts had not turned(AR) back;
our feet had not strayed from your path.
19 But you crushed(AS) us and made us a haunt for jackals;(AT)
you covered us over with deep darkness.(AU)
20 If we had forgotten(AV) the name of our God
or spread out our hands to a foreign god,(AW)
21 would not God have discovered it,
since he knows the secrets of the heart?(AX)
22 Yet for your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep(AY) to be slaughtered.(AZ)
23 Awake,(BA) Lord! Why do you sleep?(BB)
Rouse yourself!(BC) Do not reject us forever.(BD)
24 Why do you hide your face(BE)
and forget(BF) our misery and oppression?(BG)
25 We are brought down to the dust;(BH)
our bodies cling to the ground.
26 Rise up(BI) and help us;
rescue(BJ) us because of your unfailing love.(BK)

King James Version
44 We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
4 Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5 Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
8 In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
9 But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
10 Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
11 Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
12 Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
14 Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
15 My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
17 All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18 Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.
45 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

Come to Our Help
To the choirmaster. (A)A Maskil[a] of the Sons of Korah.
44 O God, we have heard with our ears,
(B)our fathers have told us,
what deeds you performed in their days,
(C)in the days of old:
2 you with your own hand (D)drove out the nations,

but (F)them you set free;
3 for not (G)by their own sword did they win the land,

4 (J)You are my King, O God;
(K)ordain salvation for Jacob!
5 Through you we (L)push down our foes;
through your name we (M)tread down those who rise up against us.
6 For not in (N)my bow do I trust,
nor can my sword save me.
7 But you have saved us from our foes
and have (O)put to shame those who hate us.
8 (P)In God we have boasted continually,
and we will give thanks to your name forever. Selah
9 But you have (Q)rejected us and disgraced us
and (R)have not gone out with our armies.
10 You have made us (S)turn back from the foe,
and those who hate us have gotten spoil.
11 You have made us like (T)sheep for slaughter
and have (U)scattered us among the nations.
12 (V)You have sold your people for a trifle,
demanding no high price for them.
13 You have made us (W)the taunt of our neighbors,
the derision and (X)scorn of those around us.
14 You have made us (Y)a byword among the nations,
(Z)a laughingstock[b] among the peoples.
15 All day long my disgrace is before me,
and (AA)shame has covered my face
16 at the sound of the taunter and reviler,
at the sight of (AB)the enemy and the avenger.
17 (AC)All this has come upon us,
though we have not forgotten you,
and we have not been false to your covenant.
18 Our heart has not turned back,
nor have our (AD)steps (AE)departed from your way;
19 yet you have (AF)broken us in the place of (AG)jackals
and covered us with (AH)the shadow of death.
20 If we had forgotten the name of our God
or (AI)spread out our hands to (AJ)a foreign god,
21 (AK)would not God discover this?
(AL)For he knows the secrets of the heart.
22 Yet (AM)for your sake we are killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.
23 (AN)Awake! Why are you sleeping, O Lord?
Rouse yourself! (AO)Do not reject us forever!
24 Why (AP)do you hide your face?
Why do you forget our affliction and oppression?
25 For our (AQ)soul is bowed down to the dust;
our belly clings to the ground.
26 Rise up; (AR)come to our help!
(AS)Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!
Your Throne, O God, Is Forever
To the choirmaster: according to Lilies. A Maskil[c] of (AT)the Sons of Korah; a love song.
45 My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;
I address my verses to the king;
my tongue is like the pen of (AU)a ready scribe.
2 You are (AV)the most handsome of the sons of men;
(AW)grace is poured upon your lips;
therefore God has blessed you forever.
3 (AX)Gird your (AY)sword on your thigh, O (AZ)mighty one,
in (BA)your splendor and majesty!
4 In your majesty (BB)ride out victoriously
for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness;
let your right hand teach you (BC)awesome deeds!
5 Your arrows are sharp
in the heart of the king's enemies;
the peoples fall under you.
6 (BD)Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
The (BE)scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;
7 (BF)you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.
Therefore (BG)God, your God, has (BH)anointed you
with the oil of (BI)gladness (BJ)beyond your companions;
8 your robes are all fragrant with (BK)myrrh and aloes and cassia.
From ivory palaces (BL)stringed instruments make you glad;
9 daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor;
(BM)at your right hand stands the queen in (BN)gold of Ophir.
10 Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear:
forget your people and your father's house,
11 and the king will desire your beauty.
Since he is your (BO)lord, (BP)bow to him.
12 The people[d] of Tyre will (BQ)seek your favor with (BR)gifts,
(BS)the richest of the people.[e]
13 All glorious is (BT)the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold.
14 (BU)In many-colored robes (BV)she is led to the king,
with her virgin companions following behind her.
15 With joy and gladness they are led along
as they enter the palace of the king.
16 In place of your fathers shall be your sons;
you will make them (BW)princes in all the earth.
17 (BX)I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations;
therefore nations will praise you forever and ever.
