¹⁷ For ^(A)my eyes are on all their ways. ^(B)They are not hidden from me, ^(C)nor is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.

¹² For ^(A)the word of God is living and ^(B)active, ^(C)sharper than any ^(D)two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and ^(E)discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. ¹³ And ^(F)no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are ^(G)naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

^24 (A)Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. ^(B)Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.

¹⁴ For ^(A)God will bring every deed into judgment, with^[a] every secret thing, whether good or evil.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and ^(A)books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is ^(B)the book of life. And ^(C)the dead were judged by what was written in the books, ^(D)according to what they had done.

²⁰ for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

¹³ And the Lord says: ^(A)“Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it, ¹⁴ but ^(B)have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them. ¹⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^(C)Behold, I will feed this people with bitter food, and give them ^(D)poisonous water to drink. ^16 (E)I will scatter them among the nations ^(F)whom neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will ^(G)send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.”
