¹⁹ By the sweat of your face
    you shall eat bread,
till you return to the ground,
    for out of it you were taken;
^(A)for you are dust,
    and ^(B)to dust you shall return.”

⁴ When ^(A)his breath departs, he returns to the earth;
    on that very day his plans perish.

²⁹ When you ^(A)hide your face, they are ^(B)dismayed;
    when you ^(C)take away their breath, they die
    and ^(D)return to their dust.

¹⁴ If he should ^(A)set his heart to it
    and ^(B)gather to himself his ^(C)spirit and his breath,
¹⁵ all flesh would perish together,
    and man would ^(D)return to dust.

¹⁰ In ^(A)his hand is the life of every living thing
    and the breath of all mankind.
