⁸ Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,^(A)
    for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way^(B) I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.^(C)

¹² Restore to me the joy of your salvation^(A)
    and grant me a willing spirit,^(B) to sustain me.^(C)

¹³ As a mother comforts her child,^(A)
    so will I comfort^(B) you;
    and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”

¹⁴ When you see this, your heart will rejoice^(C)
    and you will flourish^(D) like grass;
the hand^(E) of the Lord will be made known to his servants,^(F)
    but his fury^(G) will be shown to his foes.
