⁹ We are given no signs from God;^(A)
    no prophets^(B) are left,
    and none of us knows how long this will be.

¹¹ “The days are coming,”^(A) declares the Sovereign Lord,
    “when I will send a famine through the land—
not a famine of food or a thirst for water,
    but a famine^(B) of hearing the words of the Lord.^(C)

²⁶ Calamity upon calamity^(A) will come,
    and rumor upon rumor.
They will go searching for a vision from the prophet,^(B)
    priestly instruction in the law will cease,
    the counsel of the elders will come to an end.^(C)

⁶ Therefore night will come over you, without visions,
    and darkness, without divination.^(A)
The sun will set for the prophets,^(B)
    and the day will go dark for them.^(C)

⁹ Her gates^(A) have sunk into the ground;
    their bars^(B) he has broken and destroyed.
Her king and her princes are exiled^(C) among the nations,
    the law^(D) is no more,
and her prophets^(E) no longer find
    visions^(F) from the Lord.
