⁶ From birth^(A) I have relied on you;
    you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.^(B)
    I will ever praise^(C) you.

⁹ Yet you brought me out of the womb;^(A)
    you made me trust^(B) in you, even at my mother’s breast.
¹⁰ From birth^(C) I was cast on you;
    from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

⁵ “Before I formed you in the womb^(A) I knew^[a](B) you,
    before you were born^(C) I set you apart;^(D)
    I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.^(E)”

¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made^(A) in the secret place,
    when I was woven together^(B) in the depths of the earth.^(C)
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained^(D) for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

⁵ And now the Lord says—
    he who formed me in the womb^(A) to be his servant
to bring Jacob back to him
    and gather Israel^(B) to himself,
for I am^[a] honored^(C) in the eyes of the Lord
    and my God has been my strength^(D)—

³ “Listen^(A) to me, you descendants of Jacob,
    all the remnant^(B) of the people of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since your birth,^(C)
    and have carried^(D) since you were born.^(E)
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs^(F)
    I am he,^(G) I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
    I will sustain^(H) you and I will rescue you.
