⁶ O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion!
    When God restores the fortunes of his people,
    Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.^(A)

    Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.^(A)

¹⁸ Thus says the Lord:
I am going to restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob
    and have compassion on his dwellings;
the city shall be rebuilt upon its mound
    and the citadel set on its rightful site.^(A)

⁴ Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
    like the watercourses in the Negeb.^(D)

³² What will one answer the messengers of the nation?
“The Lord has founded Zion,
    and the needy among his people
    will find refuge in her.”^(A)

² Surely God is my salvation;
    I will trust and will not be afraid,
for the Lord^[a] is my strength and my might;
    he has become my salvation.”^(B)

⁴⁷ Save us, O Lord our God,
    and gather us from among the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
    and glory in your praise.^(B)

⁴⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
And let all the people say, “Amen.”
