¹ God is our refuge and strength,
a helper who is always found
in times of trouble.^(B)
2 Therefore we will not be afraid,
though the earth trembles
and the mountains topple
into the depths of the seas,^(C)

⁷ The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and rescues them.^(A)

¹⁷ No weapon formed against you will succeed,
and you will refute any accusation^[a]
raised against you in court.
This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants,^(A)
and their vindication is from me.”^(B)

⁸ Protect me as the pupil of your eye;^(A)
hide me in the shadow of your wings^(B)
9 from^[a] the wicked who treat me violently,^[b]
my deadly enemies who surround me.^(C)

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you;^(A)
do not be afraid, for I am your God.^(B)
I will strengthen you; I will help you;
